Ship data Built by: A/S Fjellstrand Aluminium Yachts, Norway, 1976 Owner: University of Gothenburg, since 2008 Namned after: Oscar von Sydow (1873-1936), governor of Göteborgs och Bohus län 1917-1934. In 1976 the ship was paid for thanks to a grant from ”Mary von Sydows, född Wijk, Donationsfond”. Mary von Sydow was married to Oscar von Sydow.
