THE MAD HATTER MEETS ALICE IN WONDERLAND“We’re all mad here”, says the Cheshire Cat
Extraordinary Whimsical WeddingAnnalisa and Sean share many interests that fueled their desire for a wedding that was both unusual and beautiful. They share a common interest in board games, video games and entertaining. As a photographer, Annalisa has an eye for the unique and their wedding was a whimsical confection of fun and fantasy based on Lewis Carroll’s classic book, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

The bride wore a gorgeous strapless silk gown with a sweetheart neckline. She was
adorned with a soft, tulle train lightly embellished with jewels. She wore a birdcage
veil and attached a vintage brooch for a statement piece. Her garter held special
meaning to her as it was made from her mother’s wedding dress lace. The groom
wore a linen colored tuxedo, a brown vest, and a natty blue striped bowtie.

Get ready to fall in love with all the special flourishes that this wedding features.
From the lovely antique needlepoint to teapots filled with beautiful vibrant flow-
ers, the wedding became somewhat of a fairytale to all that attended. Topsy turvy
polka dotted cakes and cupcakes atop vintage cake stands. Antique teacups. Toast
and jam at each table. An elegant wedding cake in green with pink flowers that

lighted up. Ceramic white rabbits.
Marriage manuals from the 1880’s
and so much more fabulous décor.
Guests typed well wishes and
advice on an old Corona typewriter
found at an antique store - messag-
es that they will always treasure and
hold dear. Annalisa and Sean’s goal
was for everyone to celebrate and
have an enchanted evening. They
wanted it to be fun and relaxed and
for everyone to enjoy the party. We
say, “How could they not”?
The reception rocked on with an
eclectic mix of music and food. The
music ranged from a philharmonic
string quartet to the Flaming Lips
to Arcade Fire. There were lots of
fun foods but the stars of the show
were the “to die for” cakes and
sweets.

And, the romance? Annalisa says when
they opened the doors and she saw her
future husband smiling and waiting on
her, she knew she was going to have a
blessed future with the love of her life.
The happy couple left the reception amid
sparklers and friends cheering as they
climbed into a classic vintage Jaguar
and they were whisked away to live….
Happily Ever After…..

We love proposal stories! How did Kevin propose?Kevin asked me to get dressed up for a company business dinner but before we left, he surprised me with a picture book he had made depicting pictures of the 7 months we dated. The last picture was an empty ring box. He then got down on one knee and pro-posed…of course, I said yes! Instead of going to a company dinner, Kevin took me to a wonderful, romantic restaurant for dinner to celebrate.
Rachel, please tell us about your wed-ding.We wanted a low key, relaxed wed-ding, preferably in a wonderful, old barn with lots of character. After searching high and low, we found the perfect place for our wedding and reception. The old, weathered wood and rock were just want we wanted and our pictures were amazing.
What about those great cowboy boots…The girls wore boots at the recep-tion so they could really “kick up their heels”! After I saw the front of the barn, I knew I wanted a picture of all of us in front of the doors, so I asked each of my girls to buy a pair of boots. We aren’t “cowgirls” but we all went to OSU or live in Texas, so we love our boots!
The bridesmaids all have on different dresses in a lovely shade of pale pink. How did you decide on your colors and styles? My girls are such varying sizes, I knew one style would never work for everyone….and really, I didn’t want all matchy- matchy. I wanted something soft, pretty and baby pink in a style that complemented the different body types. I used a soft green accent color. I loved how they looked, especially those boots!
Rachel and KevinA SURPRISE PROPOSAL, AN ELEGANT DINNER
AND A BARN WEDDING!
What was in the cute mason jars that you made?We wanted something to go with the style of our wedding, so my fiancée bought 200 pounds of trail mix and we filled and decorated the mason jars for our guests. It was such a fun project for both of us to share. In fact, Kevin, was there helping throughout the planning process.
What was the first song you danced to as husband and wife?Georgia by Willie Nelson. A slow, romantic song…and just right for our kind of wedding.
What kind of food did you serve at the reception?Bar-B-Q, of course! It was perfect for a barn reception. It was a casual buffet. Everyone seemed to have a great time and enjoy themselves.
You had a “Gut Pack” station? What is this?LOL, it does sound weird but basi-cally, it is a chili pie station. Kevin went to Baylor and “Gut Packs” are a pretty big deal in Waco, TX. It ended up being a big hit at the wedding.
And, finally…the honeymoon? We got married on Saturday and left for a wonderful trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican on Monday. We enjoyed the extra few days to unpack, get organized and catch our breath. The honeymoon was fabulous!Looks we Love….Yee Haw! We love those boots!

Shay and Bill’sRUSTIC AND VERY CHARMING WEDDING
Shay and Bill wanted the beauty of the outdoors as a setting for their marriage
vows. They exchanged their vows under the tall, whispering pines and a bril-
liant blue sky at a local winery and added many of their own touches to make
their marriage a day of many special memories.

Shay has long wanted to have a
vintage-y, rustic and country chic
feel to her wedding. The couple’s
friend Natalie, a wedding stylist,
incorporated a vintage chandelier
and yellow country French sofa as
a backdrop. Shay and Bill instant-
ly fell in love with the look Natalie
created and knew their photog-
rapher, HaleyG, would be able to
capture some unique memories of
their wedding.
Among her many flea market
finds, Shay found her clock at
a thrift store and gave it a new
life! When she spotted it, it was
scarred and scratched, but Shay
saw it’s potential. A few dollars
later, yellow paint, and some

antiquing and Shay had a timepiece
to be proud of for one of her center-
pieces.
The officiant of the wedding
strummed the guitar, providing
wonderful background music for
their guests. As the wedding party
walked in, he played one of Shay’s
favorite songs, “I Will not Take my
Love Away” by Matt Wertz, while
his wife sang the lyrics. As Shay
walked down the aisle, Bill’s 3 year
old son, Mikey, yelled “You look so
handsome, Mama!”. Shay says it
was “priceless” and will remember
it forever.
Looks we love: the sweets table,
the floor monogram, happy children,
vineyard weddings.
