RUSSIA AS YOU HAVE NOT SEEN IT BEFORE
SAINT-PETERSBURG, VALAAM, KIZHI, PETROZAVODSK, MANDROGI, SAINT-PETERSBURG
5 DAYS IN SAINT-PETERSBURG AND 5 DAYS ON A RIVER CRUISE
The purpose of the tour is to give for our tourists a new perspective on the Russian travel market and introduce new
possibilities there – mainly in St. Petersburg and North-Western part of Russia.
1. Presentation of and participation in the selected “non-mainstream” excursion programs:
● Roofing, or “The roofs of Saint-Petersburg”, where you, literally speaking, will be observing the city from
the roofs of some fascinating buildings (requires a certain level of physical condition)
● Unexplored St. Petersburg: “closed” courtyards between multi-storey dwelling houses, also called
“wells” given their shapes and view from above, with splendid main entrances and lobbies - one of Saint-Petersburg’s
signatures
2. Introduction to the river cruises – a combination of interesting and unusual excursions with a comfortable
accommodation on a cruise boat. Incredible views of the northern lakes, rivers and islands, visits to the
forests, villages and monasteries
River cruising gives the tourists a unique opportunity to visit amazing places in the Northwest Russia, which are
impossible to reach by other kinds of transportation. You will observe the daily life of the Russian people in the depths
of the country: we will show you charming provincial towns and villages and the picturesque nature of the Northern
Russia (among others the largest Europeans Lakes Ladoga and Onega, the northern river Svir) where you will
experience the infamous Russian hospitality and traditions as they are.
During the cruise the tourists will get an opportunity to participate in workshops and master-classes in various Russian
handicrafts, be part of the traditional folklore shows and taste numerous kinds of beer, vodka, kvas (traditional
Russian non-alcoholic drink) in the tourist village Verhnie Mandrogi.
