BANK OF TOKYO MITSUBISHI UFJ: PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT
• Oversight of an EMEA wide IT change portfolio valued at £7-12m p.a.
• Defining and executing strategic technology transformation programmes, including obsolescence, platform refreshes & migrations, network transformation (LAN / WAN), cyber security, user mobility, datacenter enhancement and DR/BCP improvements across 25+ sites and business verticals
• Creation of a rolling 3 year IT end of life plan and reporting dashboard, giving management visibility of the on-going investment requirements

• Ownership of the infrastructure technical strategy, architecture standards & methods
• Defined and executed a strategic infrastructure transformation programme (£6-10m p.a.), including platform refreshes & migrations, virtualisation, cyber security, datacenter and network transformation
• Championed and managed the organisational and cultural, as well as technical step changes required
• Drove the development of all portfolio governance & reporting, adopting & using the P3M3 model
• Represented IT on the Group Sustainability Committee, spearheading carbon footprint reductions

LEGAL & GENERAL (IBM GLOBAL SERVICES): PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
• Ownership of the Infrastructure and Operations project portfolio (Technology Refresh); circa 5000 internal days, 4000 managed service days and £5m external annual budget.
• Managed a team of technical project managers and a programme office to effect delivery across both internal matrix managed resources and external providers.
• Recovered failing delivery plans for a number of high profile initiatives.• Accountable for all portfolio governance and reporting, as well as high
level stakeholder management.• Shaped strategic projects within the programme portfolio to ensure
that delivery is in line with changing business priorities and the overall technical strategy.

ABN AMRO: FX/MM SETTLEMENT PROGRAMME
• Managed the €9 million infrastructure and technology work stream for the back office settlement system implementation.
• Pro-actively proposed, designed, owned and delivered a complex Unix consolidation and utility computing, pay-per-use, initiative that delivered unbudgeted savings in excess of €1 million.
• Delivered all infrastructure components, including servers, failover, disaster recovery, middleware, storage, networks and virtualised interfaces.
• Owned the development and deployment of all test environment, release, configuration and change management methodology lifecycles for the programme.

PETROCHEMICAL CLIENT: IT TRANSFORMATION
• Global, post merger, Infrastructure Transformation; a fixed price multi million pound programme with stiff milestone penalties.
• Consolidated the IT infrastructures of three previously disparate global business entities at 37 major sites onto a unified new global outsourced platform.
• Managed a team of 12 Project Managers from 7 countries; project team in excess of 100 individuals.
• Successfully refocused and recovered a previously failing schedule to meet external milestones, despite severe challenges.
• Implemented in excess of 250 new servers (F&P, Email, Systems Management) in 17 countries, complemented by a new AD Domain Structure, IP Schema, MPLS WAN, Client LANs, storage and backup infrastructure; all handed over cleanly into the ongoing support model.
