Embroidery Page-A-Month Sat. May 7 June 4, July 2, Aug. 6 10:00 – 2:00 $132.00 Make your mark in life by creating a one-of-a-kind embroidered story book. Choose your designs, write your story, or get help from us! This is the perfect tool to learn more about your sewing machine and to explore your software.

Finishing School Each Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. unless indicated in the calendar. $15.00/day We offer space and privacy in our classroom to finish projects and make new friends. We encourage new quilters to start off on the right foot by focusing on finishing – there’s so much to learn in completing the process. Keep your projects under control by adopting the habit of sticking with it to the end! Please register ahead.

Embroidery Finishing School Thursdays 9:00 – 4:00 $15.00 per day Our classroom is a haven for those who want to network with other embroiderers and stay up-to-date with the newest projects while being inspired. Work on your own embroideries to get them finished so you can experience that feeling of exhilaration when you reach the finish line! A teacher will be in the classroom from 9:00 – 12:00 for consultation.

Class Agreement Please read the following very carefully and talk to us if there is any part you are unsure of. Our main aim is to continue to provide you with classes that inspire and teach you!

Class Registrations

We strive to offer the classes that you want to take, bring in the best teacher to do the job, and have a beautiful sample made. Please help us by remembering the following: If you want sign up for a class, you must register ahead of time and will be given the supply list. It is your responsibility to bring the items on that list. You must pay for the class at the time that your name is put on the registration form.

Block-A-Month Classes

We assume you will be taking every month’s class. You are expected to pay for the next month’s class as you leave the current month’s class so that we can plan for classroom space.

Class cancellations We do not have a minimum class registration requirement. Because of that, if you cancel a class without sufficient notice, we cannot offer a refund or apply your fee to a future class. If our teacher has made the trip to teach you, it is only fair that there will be no refunds regardless of class size.

We are serious about providing you guidance, inspiration and structure in all phases of our classes. We strive to bring you the best teachers, classes and samples. We hope the effort required on your part will be rewarded in what you experience in our classroom.

Twisted Log Cabin Fri. June 24, July 15 6:30 – 9:30 $42.00 Spiraling out of control couldn’t be more fun than using the traditional log cabin idea with an upscale paper piecing method! Create a table runner or table centre for each season of the year. This is an advanced paper piecing class. Kits available. Grade 7 Beginner Paper Piecing or paper piecing knowledge is a prerequisite.

What is this Event? On behalf of Brother Canada, we are hosting a mass survey on the Brother sewing and Embroidery Dream Machine XV8500D. Why a Survey? It is part of our responsibility as a dealer to continuously analyze the products we sell in order to engage our suppliers to improve and refine each machine so that it may grow in value with each new generation. Who can Participate? The best way to achieve this is to go directly to the end consumer to record their feedback, requests and desires. To do this, we know it is best to have the most unbiased opinions – in this case, those who are not owners. How can You Contribute? We will be taking applications to be part of the survey. If you would like to participate, simply fill in the application and submit it to our store by April 30, 2016. When will this Happen? On Saturday, May 14th and Sunday, May 15th, we are hosting the survey event. It is directed only at non-owners of the Brother XV8500D. You have to know nothing about the machine – we will walk you through several aspects and features of the machine so that you may complete the survey in the most knowledgeable way. These will be done in about two hour time slots during which time you will be interactive with the machine. Where will the Survey take Place?

Quilt Stroll 2016 Sun. Aug. 14 10:00 – 4:00 Call for quilts – if you have a quilt or quilts to display at this year’s show, please contact the store for the entry form. We appreciate any skill level and welcome all quilts. Watch for news on this year’s Quilt Stroll Quilt, then join us for a day of warm sunshine, great music, entertainment and quilts blowing in the breeze!

Grade 6 Mod Pop Fri. June 10 1:00 – 4:00 $25.00 Mod Pop is designed for the intermediate or confident beginner. You will learn curved piecing and will be sewing them like a champ in no time. Instructions for this quilt include four different sizes from baby to queen. Mod Pop is fat quarter friendly but also works great with yardage or scraps. You can use any color palette with it and it will look great. Make it modern or make it retro, the options are endless!

Grade 3 Beginner Appliqué Wed. May 11, 18 6:30 – 9:30 $45.00 The biggest regret most quilters have is that they haven’t utilized the stitches in their sewing machine – they have a special magic to make your appliqué come alive! Let us help you manipulate and enhance them with machine adjustments and decorative threads. Pattern required. Kits available.

Grade 2 Log Cabin Tues. June 7, 28 6:30 – 9:30 $45.00 Some traditions live on and on, and this couldn’t be truer than this simple strip pieced quilt. Further your design skills by rotating the blocks to achieve different looks and gain knowledge on how to create mitred corners and curved

Grade 9 Free Motion Quilting Wed. June 1, 8 6:30 – 9:30 $45.00 Create a whole cloth quilt this session as you learn how to design, mark and free motion a quilt. Applying varying techniques to the centre, borders and corners as well as adding accent threads will enhance your fabric and create a look all yours!

Grade 1 Beginning Quilting Tues. May 10, 17, 31 6:30 -9:30 $72.00 Take away the fear and uncertainty of quilting as you learn precision in cutting, sewing, pressing, and squaring up. You’ll be trained in the tools of the trade so that success is achieved and gratification is assured. This class is perfect for those who are just starting on their quilting journey, those who have had a gap in their quilting journey, or those who desire better results. Pattern required.
