Getting Your Device Ready for Use

Installation 1. Turn the latch handle to unlock the

battery cover and detach it.

2. Select models only: Insert the SIM card with the chip side facing up and the beveled corner pointing to the slot.

3. Insert the battery’s connector end first and then lower the other side.

4. Replace the battery cover and turn the latch handle to the locked position.

Charging the Battery Connect the AC adapter to charge the battery.

The charge indicator glows in amber when charging is in progress. When the battery is fully charged, the amber indicator turns into green.

Fully charge the battery before using your device for the first time.

Performing the Initial Startup 1. Press the power button to turn on

your device.

The backlight of the keypad will light up and, after a few seconds, the setup screen appears.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup wizard.

3. Select models only: If a SIM card has been inserted and the mobile phone network operator (or you) has set the PIN, you will be prompted to enter the PIN.

4. After the setup is completed, the Today screen appears. You can now use your device.

Operating Basics

Suspend Mode Your device automatically suspends after a period of inactivity (default 3 minutes while on battery power and 5 minutes while on external power). To resume operation, press the power button.

Turning Off If you are not using your device, press and hold the power button for at least 3 seconds until the device plays a notification sound and turns off.

Using the Keypad

Number keys to enter numbers and to provide functions (with Fn lock) indicated by the orange icons.

Send key to dial or answer a call (select models only).

Left/Right Soft key

Fn Lock

Camera key to use the camera.

End key to end or reject a call (select models only) and to return to the Today screen.

Start key to open the Start menu.

OK key to close the current menu.

Action key to serve as the Enter key.

Using the StylusUse the stylus to navigate and select objects on the screen.

Tap Touch the screen once with the stylus to open items and select options.

Drag Hold the stylus on the screen and drag across the screen to select text and images.

Tap and hold Tap and hold the stylus on an item to see a list of actions available for that item.

Today Screen The Today screen shows your upcoming appointments, active tasks, information about e-mail messages, and more. You can tap a section on the Today screen toopen the program that is associated with that section.

Running Programs You can switch from one program to another without closing any program.

To run a program, tap on the left-top corner of the screen and select from the Start menu.

To access additional programs, tap Programs.

Using the Phone (Select Models Only)

Starting the Phone Program Start the Phone program by any of the three methods:

Press the Send key on the device.

Tap Phone (left soft key) on the Today screen.

Tap Phone.

Dialing a Phone Number 1. When on the Today screen: Press

the numeric keys on your device to start entering the phone number.

While in the Phone program: Enter the phone number using the physical or onscreen keypad.

2. As you enter the phone number, the program searches Contacts, Call History, and Speed Dial to find a matching name and/or number. When you see the name of the person to call listed, select it and the desired phone number.

Or, you can continue entering the complete phone number.

3. Press the Send key on your device to make the call.

During a CallDuring a call, you can use the soft keys for various operations.

Answering a Call To answer an incoming call, press the Send key on your device or tap Answer (left soft key).

Ending a Call To end a call, press the End key on your device or tap End on the screen.

Erste Schritte zur Benutzung

Installation 1. Drehen Sie zur Freigabe der

Akkufachabdeckung den Riegel; entfernen Sie die Abdeckung.

2. Nur ausgewählte Modelle: Stecken Sie die SIM-Karte mit der abgeschrägten Kante voran in den Schlitz; der Chip muss nach oben zeigen.

3. Legen Sie den Akku mit dem Anschluss voran ein, drücken Sie dann die andere Seite nach unten.

4. Bringen Sie die Akkufachabdeckung wieder an; drehen Sie zum Versperren den Riegel.

Aufladen des Akkus Verbinden Sie zum Aufladen des Akkus das AC-Netzteil.

Während des Ladevorgangs leuchtet die Ladeanzeige gelb. Wenn der Akku voll aufgeladen ist, wobei die gelbe Anzeige dann grün leuchtet.

Sie müssen den Akku ganz aufladen, bevor Sie Ihr Gerät erstmalig einschalten.

Grundbedienung Suspend-Modus Ihr Gerät aktiviert nach einer bestimmten Inaktivitätszeit (in der Standardeinstellung 3 Minuten bei Verbrauch von Akkustrom und 5 Minuten bei Verbrauch von Netzstrom) automatisch den Suspend-Modus. Um den Betrieb wieder aufzunehmen, drücken Sie den Ein/Ausschalter.

Verwenden des Telefons (nur ausgewählte Modelle)

Starten des Programms Telefon Es gibt folgende drei Möglichkeiten, das Programm Phone (Telefon) zu starten:

Drücken Sie die Senden-Taste auf dem Gerät.

Tippen Sie im Bildschirm Heute auf Phone (linke Soft-Taste).

Wählen einer Telefonnummer 1. Im Bildschirm Heute: Drücken Sie

Im Programm Phone: Geben Sie die Telefonnummer über das tatsächliche Tastenfeld oder das Tastenfeld auf dem Bildschirm ein.

2. Während Eingabe der Telefon- nummer sucht das Programm in Kontakte, Anrufverlauf und Kurzwahl nach einem Namen und/oder einer Nummer passend zu den Suchkriterien. Wird der Name der anzurufenden Person aufgelistet, wählen Sie ihn und die gewünschte Telefon- nummer an.

Oder Sie geben die komplette Telefon- nummer ein.

3. Drücken Sie die Senden-Taste auf Ihrem Gerät, um die Nummer anzurufen.

Während eines Gesprächs Während eines Gesprächs können Sie die Bildschirm- tasten für verschiedene Funktionen benutzen.

Beantworten eines Anrufs Zur Beantwortung eines eingehenden Anrufs drücken Sie die Senden-Taste auf Ihrem Gerät oder tippen auf Answer (Antworten) (linke Soft-Taste).

l Preparar el dispositivo para su uso

Instalación 1. Gire el asa del seguro para

Configurer votre appareil pour utilisation Installation 1. Tournez la poignée de verrouillage

pour débloquer le couvercle de la batterie et détachez-le.

2. Pour les modèles sélectionnés uniquement: Insérez la carte SIM avec le côté puce vers le haut et le coin biseauté orienté vers la fente.

3. Insérez l'extrémité connecteur de la batterie d'abord, puis abaissez l'autre côté.

Preparare il dispositivo per l’uso

Nozioni di base per il funzionamento

Esecuzione di programmi È possibile passare da un programma all’altro senza chiuderne nessuno.

Per eseguire un programma, toccare nell’angolo in alto a sinistra dello

schermo e selezionare dal menu Avvia.

Per accedere ad altri programmi, toccare Programmi.

Utilizzo del telefono (solo modelli selezionati)

Avvio del programma Telefono Avviare il programma Telefono mediante uno di questi tre metodi:

Premere il tasto Send (Invia) sul dispositivo.

Toccare Phone (Telefono) (tasto funzione di sinistra) sulla schermata Oggi.

Comporre un numero 1. Nella schermata Oggi:Premere i

tasti numerici sul dispositivo per iniziare a immettere il numero di telefono.

Mentre si è nel programma Telefono: Inserire il numero di telefono usando la tastiera fisica o quella sullo schermo.

2. Inserendo il numero di telefono, il programma ricerca in Contatti, Registro chiamate e Composizione rapida per trovare un nome e/o un numero corrispondente. Quando viene visualizzato il nome della persona da chiamare, selezionarlo insieme al numero di telefono desiderato.

Altrimenti, è possibile continuare ad inserire il numero di telefono completo.

3. Premere il tasto Send (Invia) sul dispositivo per effettuare la chiamata.

Durante una chiamata Durante una chiamata, è possibile usare i tasti software per eseguire varie operazioni.

Rispondere a una chiamata Per rispondere a una chiamata in arrivo, premere Send (Invia) sul dispositivo oppure toccare Answer (Rispondi) (tasto funzione di sinistra).

Terminare una chiamata Per terminare una chiamata, premere End (Fine) sul dispositivo oppure toccareEnd (Fine) sul display.

準備使用產品

安裝 1. 將電池蓋的拉環旋轉至鬆開位置以卸

下電池蓋。

2. 限含電話功能之機型：將 SIM 卡的晶片面朝上，缺口的一角朝向插槽插入插槽內。

3. 以傾斜角度將電池的接頭端插入接合，然後再放下另一端。

4. 裝回電池蓋，將拉環旋轉至鎖定位置。

充電 接上電源整流器充電。

充電指示燈亮橙色表示充電進行中。充飽電時，充電指示燈改亮 綠色。

建議您先將電池充飽電再開始使 用本裝置。

基本操作

拖曳 以觸控筆點著螢幕不放並拖動， 如此可選取大範圍文字或影像。

點選並按住 以觸控筆點選並按住項目，如此可檢視該項目的動作清單。

今日畫面 Today 今日畫面顯示您的近期約會、進行中的工作及電子郵件等等訊息。您可以點選畫面上的單元，開啟相關程式。

執行程式 您可以直接切換程式，而不必先關閉程式。

欲執行程式，請點選螢幕左上角的 ，由開始功能表選擇。

使用電話功能（僅限特定機型）

開啟電話程式 您可以使用下列任一方法開啟電話程式：

按壓機身的 Send 鍵。

在 Today 畫面點選 Phone （左軟鍵）。

點選 Phone （電話）。

撥電話號碼 1. 在 Today 畫面時：按機身上的數字鍵

開始撥電話號碼。系統會自動切換到電話程式。

在電話程式時：利用機身的鍵台或螢幕軟鍵台輸入電話號碼。

2. 當您輸入數字時，系統隨即在聯絡人、通話紀錄、速撥等資料庫裡搜尋符合的號碼或人名。電話或人名出現在清單時，您可以直接選取。

使用前的准备工作

使用电话功能（仅限特定型号）

打开电话程序

您可以使用下列任一方法打开电话程序：

按压机身的 Send 键。

拨电话号码

1. 在 Today 画面时：按机身上的数字

键开始拨电话号码。系统会自动切换

デバイスの使用準備

インストール方法

1. ツマミを回してバッテリーカバーを取り外

します。

2. 指定モデルのみ: SIM カードのチップ側

を表に切り欠き部分側をスロットに向け

てカードを完全にスロットに挿します。

3. バッテリーのコネクタ側を先に入れてか

ら、他端を入れます。

4. バッテリーカバーを戻してから、ツマミを

ロック位置に回します。

バッテリを充電する

AC アダプタを接続してバッテリーを

充電します。

充電中、充電インジケータは黄色に

点灯します。バッテリーがフル充電

されると、黄色いインジケーターが

緑色に変わります。

初に本装置を使用する際は、バッ

テリーをフル充電してください。

初期スタートアップを実行する

1. 電源ボタンを押して装置の電源を入れま

す。

キーパッドのバックライトが点灯し、数秒

後セットアップ画面が表示されます。

2. 画面上の指示に従ってセットアップウィザ

ードを完了させます。

3. 指定モデルのみ: SIM カードが装着され

サスペンドモード

本装置は一定時間操作しないと自動的に

サスペンドモードへ移行します (デフォルトで

はバッテリー使用時 3 分、外部電源使用時

5 分)。操作を再開するには、電源ボタンを
