Glen Christini, who has worked wonders reviving the fortunes of Parramatta, has signed for a further two years as coach of the Two Blues. What’s more, the affable Kiwi wants to become an Australian citizen. “I’ve been here six years and I love it,” he says. “The wife is happy here and so are the kids.” If Coach of the Year had to be decided at this moment, Christini would be a shoo in. Without the benefit of a big name or two, he has lifted Parramatta from a dismal second last with a record of 5-17 to fifth place in the table with 7-6. And they’re fun to watch.

Already Christini is planning for next season. “Basically I’m happy with the talent I’ve got, but I’ll be looking to boost a couple of key positions with guys bordering on Super Rugby. Any higher and you’d hardly ever see them.” He is delighted with the impact being made by All Black Sosene Anesi since he arrived unexpectedly two weeks ago. “Sosene loves the rugby we’re playing,” says Christini. “He’s down as a winger, but I’ve given him a free licence. He pops up all over the place, even in the odd pick and drive.”

Rugby is a game which looks after its own. When Northern Suburbs held a Seti Tafua Day at North Sydney Oval last Saturday, it raised $25,000 to help the club’s back-rower who suffered a spinal injury five weeks ago. This took the fund’s total to $40,000 while a further $20,000 has come from his hometown of Wellington in New zealand. Norths also are planning a big dinner in October. Seti can use his arms and is getting about in a wheelchair

We put the question to Waratahs backs coach Scott Bowen. “Do the rumours suggesting you may join the Force have any basis?” He replied, “No. That’s not the case. I have a year in my contract that I want to fulfil and help make 2013 a very successful year.”

Manly officials yesterday met with Lalakai Foketi who swept in for a hat trick of tries for Australian Schools against Tonga with a view to him joining the Marlins. Although he attended The Kings School, he is a local boy. Surprise, surprise. Sydney university also are after him.

How did Adam Scott prepare for the second round 68 which gave him a four stroke lead in the British Open golf title at Royal Lytham and St Annes? He watched the Super Rugby matches with his rugby-nutty caddie Steve Williams, who was with Tiger Woods in 13 of his 14 major title wins. Sadly, like his hero Greg Norman often did, he choked at the finish.

If you look closely at today’s opening Olympic ceremony, you might spot Alison Donnan, physio of the Manly Marlins, marching with Tonga. It won’t be hard as Tonga has a team of three – a runner, swimmer and shot putter. “After treating dozens of footballers every Saturday, I should be able to handle three,” says Alison, who is married to former Manly forward Michael Donnan. “It’s a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

When the Sydney Ru board meets on Monday week, they’ll discuss a survey from the clubs on the current Sydney competition. Don’t expect too many changes in 2013.

Surely that wasn’t Scott Stumbles making another comeback in fifth grade for Sydney university last Saturday. In his 189th game for the club at the age of thirty-two, he was held up when he got over the try-line. Stats courtesy Craig “Fizzer” Fear,

Cadeyrn Neville celebrated being named in the Wallabies training squad by taking out the Matt Cockbain Rising Rebel and the Melbourne Rebels’ Rookie of the Year awards. The giant second-rower returned to the Manly Marlins last Saturday, summing up: “I love playing down here. This is where my rugby went from zero to winning a Super contract. I definitely owe them a lot.”

iS A WEE WAA BOy...

MATT SCHWAGeRHalfback Matt Schwager has made a home

for himself at the base of the Sydney University scrum over the past five years. Since joining the club in 2007, the 24 year

old has progressed from colts through grade and is currently captain of first grade.

While he is a fixture in the famed blue and gold jersey, Schwager is a country boy through and

through. “i go back to my parents’ farm up in Wee Waa whenever i can to help out. i just like

going home and being out in the country,” he says.

idolising Matt Burke as a youngster, Schwager came to Sydney as a border

at St Joseph’s in Hunter’s Hill.

in 2005 he made the Australian Schoolboys side that travelled to the UK – an admirable

feat in itself, but one made all the more remarkable by the fact that he wasn’t

even in the Joeys First Xv. “i played second Xv for two years,” he says.

“i don’t think anyone had ever done that before.”

After a gap year, Schwager joined Sydney University and soon became Colts captain

before graduating to grade in 2007.

Schwager was captain for much of last year as well before regular skipper tim davidson came back for the finals. “i’m really happy in the role at the moment, but if davo wants to

captain i’m more than happy to hand it over to him. He’s been a great leader for the club and

i learnt a lot of my leadership skills off him.”

A great reader of the game, the nuggetty halfback says he looked up to George

Gregan as a youngster. “i’m very chatty on the field, but hopefully not too much of a pest though,” he jokes.

With the competition the way it is, there are no easy games left and Schwager says he is taking each match as it comes. While

he loves getting back to the country, he’ll be hoping to delay his annual trip home

by a couple of weeks to help Uni reclaim the Shute Shield trophy in September.

With London absolutely abuzz and having the Super Rugby semi-finals last night and today, many of us have been forced into a loving relationship – call it an affliction–with our TV sets.I vow not to say anything more about the dispatched Waratahs, other than to emphasise how head coach Michael Foley has been the most co-operative and pleasant person to work with. Before proceeding, let me tell a funny story. I attended Waratahs training recently and when it had finished he came over and laughingly revealed I’d caused a stir among some of the younger players as the jacket I was wearing was almost identical to that worn by their next opponents. Is he a spy, they wanted to know, and needed Foley’s assurance that the old codger was a friend.Forgetting our friendship, I would be genuinely pleased if it was confirmed Foley has another season to redeem the Waratahs’ name. Just examine the horrific injured list he had and it’s so much easier to understand why their season finished prematurely.Sydney Premier Rugby is similarly into the serious end of the season and I repeat that I wouldn’t mind betting the Woodies again finish on top. This year we were given a new time-frame for the club competition and the consensus is that 16 rounds seem to have suited most clubs. Maybe it could start slightly earlier each year. With the days thankfully growing longer and hotter, now is as good time as any to air other observations/suggestions/complaints that I’ve picked up among the grandstand regulars at club, Super Rugby and Test matches. While the overall quality of Super Rugby couldn’t be faulted too much (except for excessive kicking at times and those incessant collapsed scrums), it has unintentionally taken attention from the club competition. The feeling is that if we’re going to travel to Super Rugby fixtures (or watch them on television) then also attending club matches that same weekend is all too much.In other words, one game of rugby per weekend as a spectator in any household (and that’s forgetting

about watching the kids play) is enough.Given the Waratahs command most attention, the result has been smaller crowds at club matches compared with years gone by.Inherent in this malady is the fact you seldom see Waratahs and Wallabies playing for their clubs. Indeed, ask your mates which club some of our big-name players belong to and you’ll stump them repeatedly. Then again, we’re not in the amateur era any more and they’ve got to chase the dough.A factor that did irritate lots with whom I’ve spoken was the four-week gap in Super Rugby due to the June internationals. That’s an absurdly long break and interest can wane in such circumstances. It’s like going to the theatre or movies and having a two-hour interval; followers simply lose some interest.Another thing that continues to rile many is the names given the Super Rugby teams. Broadcaster Alan Jones (who wasn’t a bad coach himself a few decades ago) isn’t the only one who can’t understand why it isn’t more obvious where teams are from i.e. Queensland, Auckland, NSW, Orange Free State etc.Quickly, give yourself ten seconds to remember the state, province or city where the Lions, Cheetahs and Chiefs are located….. See what I mean?Don’t misunderstand me. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with calling our boys the Waratahs; the confusion arises because there are too many similar pseudonyms. When Super Rugby finishes next Saturday, there’s only enough time to catch your breath before the Rugby Championship starts on August 18, featuring the big ones – Wallabies, New zealand, South Africa and the newcomers from Argentina – and running till early October. That’s four of the top eight nations – an indulgent feast.Again, this introduces another puzzle, in that we had the Scotland Test and Wales series in June and will now be backing up for these. Some have asked why the scheduling cannot be done so there’s not these intermittent Tests, but are all brought together collectively. The answers there relate to scheduling programs in both hemispheres. Then again, it’s nice being able to see the Wallabies at different times each season.

Scheduling issues in a packed rugby year.

In a finale that might have been contrived by a drama producer, all but one club in the Sydney premiership have some sort of claim for a spot among the eight to fight out the play-offs. Warringah, Gordon and Penrith trail the eighth club West Harbour respectively by four, seven and eight points. Including bonus points, 15 points are up for grabs for each team in the remaining three matches. The draw is:

Eastwood: (54 points) Southern Districts, Sydney university (h), Northern Suburbs (h)

Sydney University: (52 points): Manly (h), eastwood, Southern Districts (h)

Manly (51 points) Sydney university, Northern Suburbs (h), eastern Suburbs (h)

Southern districts: (45 points): eastwood (h), eastern Suburbs , Sydney university

Parramatta: (37 points) Warringah, West Harbour (h), Gordon (a)

Eastern Suburbs: (35 points) Northern Suburbs, Southern Districts (h), Manly

Northern Suburbs: (34 points): eastern Suburbs (h), Manly, eastwood

West Harbour: (27 points) Gordon (h), Parramatta, Randwick

Warringah: (23 points): Parramatta (h), Randwick, Penrith (h)

Gordon: (20 points) West Harbour, Penrith (h), Parramatta (h)

SYDNEY UNIVERSITY V MANLYCould having to face Manly, eastwood and Southern Districts in successive weeks in the path to the play-offs blunt Sydney university’s premiership aspirations? “It’s a good thing,” says coach Todd Louden. “With Super Rugby players coming back, it’ll get the combinations right. We’re facing grand final football for six weeks in a row.”

Take today’s game against Manly at university Oval in which the Marlins pack contains such giants as Cadeyrn Neville, Greg Peterson and ed Gower. It

will be hard and fierce from the first minute to the last. Kotoni Ale returns to add extra zip to Manly’s back-row and hooker elvis Taione is coming off a spectacular three -try effort in the 24-22 disposal of Southern Districts.

Paddy Ryan returns at tight-head for university after attending the Wallaby training camp to boost a pack that includes in-form Jono Jenkins and Tim Davidson in the back-row. With Daniel Halangahu a dropout, Alfie Mafi comes in at fullback. However, there is a chance Wallaby training squad players Bernard Foley and Mitch Inman could come off the bench. No club can match the depth of Sydney university.

NORTHERN SUBURBS V EASTERN SUBURBSNo panic at easts after their 56-16 loss to eastwood. Only two changes for today’s game at North Sydney, with prop Rob McMickan returning and the introduction of little known flanker Nathan Paila.

Coach Mark Bakewell explains:”Nathan is quite confrontational and gives a lot of good go-forward.” With brutal honesty, he adds, “We’re in a hole and it’s up to me get the boys out of it. Our confidence is down. eastwood are very efficient and punished the hell out of our errors.”

In contrast, North’s form is extremely good, following six straight wins followed by with a 26-23 loss to Sydney university through a Daniel Halangahu penalty goal in injury time. They have hustle in the forwards and David Harvey’s unerring boot but whenever Brendan McKibbin pulls on the No 9 jumper, easts must have a chance.

SOUTHERN DISTRICTS V EASTWOODWallaby winger Lachie Turner will play for eastwood in what shapes as another pulsating clash with Southern Districts, who are boosted by the return of Waratahs Grayson Hart and Lopeti Timani and Australian Sevens player Nick Cummins for this

game at Forshaw Park. Playing a man short for sixty minutes, the Woodies showed indomitable spirit to tip out their rivals 35-31 in the first round. eastwood top the competition by two points, while Souths are in fourth spot.

Coach John Manenti has made no changes to the team that romped home 56-16 against easts, but there are several important alterations in the Souths side beaten 24-22 by Manly. With Timani taking the No 8 jumper, Matt Swann becomes Kane Douglas’ new second-row partner and unavailable Tetera Faulkner is replaced at prop by Marcus Heather. In the backs, Cummins will be an important figure at outside-centre. Another player to watch will be eastwood’s dashing fullback Ben Batger, who has contributed 44 points in the last two games. He has Super Rugby oozing from every pore.

Souths coach Cam Blades, whose team has lost five matches by a combined total of 12 points, is stressing to his players that they must play with intensity for the full 80 minutes. John Manenti, coach of the Woodies, respects Souths as a free-flowing side that can beat any of the top teams.

WEST HARBOUR V GORDONWith play-off spots up for grabs, Gordon, coming off a 23-5 upset of Warringah, must beat eighth placed Wests, whom they trail of seven points, to stay in the hunt. It’s the Last Chance Saloon. Wests, scoring and giving away points with reckless abandon, eclipsed Penrith 38-24. “We’re starting to come together,” said coach Daniel Manu, who is delighted with the play of centre Rory Sidey in his return from the Force. However, Wests must beware of ill-discipline as Gordon fly-half Chris Burnett booted six penalty goals last Saturday.

WARRINGAH V PARRAMATTAWith All Black Sosene Anese bringing a touch of magic to his first two games, Parramatta seek to consolidate their fifth spot, while Warringah bid to improve their chance of making the top eight. Given a David Campese-type licence to leave his wing when he sees fit, Sosene bobs up in the most unexpected places, even figuring in the odd

PENRITH V RANDWICKA trip to Nepean Rugby Park at Penrith is dreaded by all Sydney clubs. Imagine the thoughts of bottom of the table Randwick as they drive through the gates. Still, Drew Mitchell inevitably comes up with something special when he pul ls on Randwick ’s myr t le g reen jumper. Can the Wallaby dasher can provide the X factor that has been missing this disappointing season. Still, a win today would enable this proud old club to draw level with the emus and a bonus point put them ahead.

COLtS RePORTby Hamish McCathie

Northern Suburbs caused the upset of the season when they beat Sydney university 22-20 last weekend. up until this loss the Students had a perfect record scoring maximum points in their previous 12 outings. With three games remaining in this shortened season the minor premiership is now alive.

It was extremely unfortunate that Parramatta forfeited 1st colts when they only had six players turn up for their game against Randwick. This was unfortunate for many reasons although especially for the teams in the top half of the draw who don’t get to play them again.

Ian Moyes and the eastwood Colts invited easts into the clubhouse for speeches and an after match function at TG Millner. It was great to see the room full of players and each team voted a players player for their opponents. This was a nice touch and a good thing for club Rugby.

NOrtHErN SUBUrBS 22 v SydNEy UNivErSity 20This was one of the games of the year. Both sides were dogged in defence and looked to play it wide at every opportunity and were so resolute that they could have played on for hours and neither side would have budged. Some brutal hits from both number 7's and great vision by Cleaver and Dunbar in attack meant that the game was always going to be close.

After uni took the lead with two penalties in the first half both sides traded tries until Jack “Piggy” Walters scored with 3 minutes to go, with ex university player Grant nailing the kick to take the lead 22-20 and cause the upset of the season.

MANLy 50 v SOUtHErN diStriCtS 12Manly acquitted themselves well with an impressive first-half display against Southern Districts. A strong forward performance backed up by free-flowing backline play saw

Manly shoot out to a 38-0 lead at half-time. Southern Districts deserve credit for competing until the end. Indeed the 12-all second half was disappointing for Manly Coach Jono Harvey, especially with a motivated Sydney uni on the horizon next week.

Best for Manly were Prop Jason Aho, Number 10 ewan Brumwell and Lock Steve Chapman.

EAStWOOd 46 v EAStErN SUBUrBS 19This game was closer than what the scoreboard shows. After 30 minutes of the game easts led 14-10 but as we all know the last 10 minutes of the 1st half are crucial. The Woodies dominated this period and went to the break with a 22- 14 lead. The second half was hard fought with both sides scoring early tries. With eastwood leading 27-19 easts started to control the ball and hammer the eastwood line.

To eastwoods credit they defended well and held out easts for 15 minutes. When the Woodies got up the other end they scored and with three tries in the last 8 minutes of the game eastwood had put together a handsome win. easts Captain Harry Boileau and eastwood’s Rob Lagudi were good whilst the Woodies players voted easts number 7 James Graham as their players player and easts voted the Woodies prop Rob Lagudi as their best.

OtHEr GAMESThe Rats beat Gordon 27-15, West beat Penrith 27-10 in a close one and Randwick beat Parra via a forfeit.

tHiS SAtUrdAyManly host uni, easts are at home against Norths, eastwood play Souths, Gordon play Wests, Randwick play Penrith and The Rats will hopefully get a game against Parramatta.

In 1985, Lorraine Holman went to Granville Park to watch her son Allan play rugby for Parramatta colts. It was the beginning of 27 years of volunteer service to the Parramatta Two Blues.Soon after her first visit to watch her son play, Lorraine was asked if she would like to join other ladies in running the canteen on Saturdays. She joined the canteen team but it wasn’t long before the other ladies moved on to another life. Her husband Pat, who was the Parramatta Rugby Director at the time, asked her if she would like to take over, manage and run the canteen herself. And that she did and now 27 years later, Saturday, August 11 will be her last day. Lorraine and Pat are moving up the coast to enjoy a life of leisure. This item came about because Lorraine wanted a simple ‘Thank You’ message to all the wonderful rugby people she has met over the many years. Said Lorraine, “All visitors to Parramatta games have treated me with respect and I have responded in the same manner. I would just like to say thank you. I will miss you all.” Lorraine kicked off her long journey of club service in the halcyon days of Parramatta’s 1985 and 1986 Premiership wins and has seen the tough times as well but has remained a true Two Blue. The youngest of 12 children, Lorraine has looked up occasionally to see her son Allan “Yappy” Holman play 209 games for Parramatta. 180 of them in First Grade.

Asked for a memory that stood out Lorraine replied, “Nick Farr-Jones I admired as a player and person. Nearing his last game he played against Parramatta at our home ground. As he finally walked from the field, his mother was with him and I went over to say hello and congratulate him on his contribution to rugby. He chatted and was a total gentleman. A role model for all.”Ironically, Nick Farr-Jones was a tour host on the Cruise Tour she was awarded to the 2011 World Cup as Volunteer of the Year.In summing up, Lorraine said, “My husband Pat has been tremendous. He has served in many roles for the club over many years. As I don’t drive, he has also been my chauffeur on my many buying trips for the club.”On behalf of the club rugby community, the thank you is from us Lorraine. You are a special lady and a champ.

One thing is certain when you watch Southern Districts play rugby – you will be entertained. The Rebels average an impressive 32 points and 4 tries per game, boast four of the top 20 try scorers and the highest individual point scorer in young fly-half Rohan Saifoloi. With a mobile forward pack, lightning backs and a devastating counter-attack, they have also scored some of the most enterprising tries of the season.even when they don’t win, they put on a show. The Rebels’ biggest losing margin from the five games they’ve dropped is just 4 points. They’re natural entertainers. “I think being young, we just take risks,” says Saifoloi. “But it also comes down to the coaches. We’ve got a game plan but at the same time, they tell us to back our ability and just be confident.”If the mixture of talented players and smart coaching sounds like a fairly simple formula, it is. “I basically had the philosophy that I wanted to coach a positive and attacking style of rugby that is enjoyable to watch and we’ve got a core group of players who fit that style of play” says coach, Cameron Blades. A Shire local, Blades was an assistant coach at Souths for a couple of years before taking over the head coaching role at the end of last season. While the former Waratah and Wallaby arrived with the intention of playing attractive rugby, he says getting the most out of the team required a fresh approach.“These players have that attacking instinct but it hasn’t really been brought out in them over the last few years,” he explains. “The set up could get quite negative at times, focussing on mistakes rather than letting the guys express themselves. So I wanted to take the shackles off, let them take a bit of a chance and if it didn’t come off they weren’t going to be chastised for it.”

But raw talent can only go so far. A mountain of preseason work – including arduous sand dune fitness sessions – went into getting the team in shape. The coaching staff of Blades, Matt Barr, Dale Roberson and Carl McDonald still run extra sessions before training, and as Blades explains, “the players that have bought into it, have reaped the rewards in terms of where they are and their performances on the park.” It is a structure that has helped the large contingent of young talent excel. After a few games in colts and second grade and a stint at fullback, this is Saifoloi’s first full season at flyhalf. He has topped the individual point scoring list for the better part of ten weeks and is the only player in the competition to amass more than 150 points. Promising youngster Jed Holloway is also thriving in his debut first-grade season. The talented back-rower has impressed many at the club and rates playing alongside Waratah and Wallaby second-rower Kane Douglas last weekend as one of the highlights of his short career. Both raised in the far north-coast town of Yamba, Douglas is a mentor to Holloway and they each scored a try against Manly last Saturday.

from non–glam to the entertainers.

The up-and-comers aren’t the only ones benefitting. Over the past few months, no less than four Southern Districts players have been signed by overseas clubs. Added to the numerous players already scattered around Super Rugby franchises, a picture seems to be emerging.“It is a compliment to our program and a nice pat on the back for the club,” says Blades. “We’re helping produce better rugby players and if they go overseas, then we’ve got to be pretty proud of that as well.”While Souths’ depth was tested by the mini exodus, club president Neville Shooter looks on the bright side. “It’s going to be part of our recruitment drive,” he says. “We can say that all these players came through our system. Kane Douglas, Rob Horne, Dan Palmer, Brackin Karauria-Henry, Nicky Price – it’s all laid out pretty clearly. That’s something we have to sell to younger players.”As with any club, Souths places utmost importance on its juniors. “They are the main thrust of our growth,” says Shooter. With fierce competition from two rugby league teams, it’s a vital task and one they have

approached with enthusiasm, employing a part-time development officer and spending a lot of time with junior rep teams in the area. Such involvement ensures that the “One Club” motto emblazoned on their jerseys extends from first grade all the way down to the juniors. “The juniors come down for jersey presentations and we always go down to junior’s days,” explains Holloway. “We’re all mates from first grade to fourth grade too, whereas in the last couple of years it was just first grade isolated from the rest. It’s a really good feeling.” Although they have struggled for consistency this year, the total on-field positivity is infectious and a run deep into the finals is expected by many. His youthful exuberance on full display, Saifoloi asserts, “I honestly think we can take it out. It’ll be really tough, but if we put together 80 minutes of good footy, I reckon we can do it.”

Gordon Rugby players will now have the opportunity to gain educational scholarships with the university of Technology Sydney following a ground breaking 2 year Sponsorship Agreement between Gordon and the uTS for the 2013-14 seasons. As part of the sponsorship agreement a number of Gordon Rugby / uTS Scholarships will be available to talented players to support them in their chosen courses at uTS.

Former Wallaby and current 1st Grade Colts coach Mark Hartill says the scholarships will provide a unique opportunity only available to Gordon Rugby players. It will provide Gordon Junior Rugby players and others with a pathway to play at the highest level in the Sydney competition and at the same time financial support in their chosen university of Technology Course at either the Broadway or Lindfield campus.”

The uTS logo will feature on the front of all Gordon Grade and Colts jerseys while uTS will also have primary branding rights on the scoreboard and grandstand at Chatswood Oval commencing next season.

The club has already had an ongoing relationship with uTS for several years while several high profile players have been part of the uTS elite and emerging Athlete Program as well as being members of the uTS Rugby union 7s squad that won a Gold Medal at the Australian university Games last year.

uTS union CeO Liz Brett says the partnership will see some unique opportunities for the uTS Community. “For uTS to be involved with an elite Rugby Club in NSW is a positive step and adds weight to the higher end of our holistic sporting program. It ticks a lot of boxes in terms of student and staff engagement, both passive and active, as well as providing the university with fantastic brand exposure. The partnership is complimentary as both parties are actively engaged in providing dual career and sporting pathways for students."

Gordon is one of the iconic clubs in Sydney Rugby union and has won the Sydney First Grade Premiership on eight occasions as well as the Club

Championship thirteen times. The Gordon club has produced many great Australian Test players including former Wallaby captains Stirling Mortlock, Peter Sullivan, Bob Davidson and Trevor Allen.

eastwood’s Ben Batger is now on 983 career points with the Woodies and looks like topping the milestone of 1000 career points shortly. Only David Creagh 1511 and Tim Donnelly 1425 have more career points with eastwood.

Last Friday the West Harbour Club held their Annual Sports Luncheon at Club Burwood RSL which was a great success with lots of fun had by all. The day included six bouts of amateur boxing that proved to be very entertaining. So much so that the club’s physiotherapist, Luke Rigney who is also a former West Harbour 1st Grade captain upon hearing he had won the raffle tried to claim one of the ring girls as his prize.

Gordon Bray who called many a Test, Super and Club Rugby game was commentating recently on the Australian Snooker Championships in Bendigo. Apparently he is too old to call the Rugby anymore which is pretty pathetic as he was one of the best with his knowledge of the game and his many famous descriptions of many a player second to none. I tell you what……he is and would still be a lot better than some of the commentators we have to listen to calling our great game today. Bring back Gordo!

Two young up and coming rising stars at North’s notably, Chris Tuatara and Jordan Smiler have both been snatched up by the ACT Brumbies for next season.

Still at North’s, Corey Brown played his 50th First Grade game last Saturday while Stephen Scoles notched up his 50th Grade game for the Club on the same day.

The CBRe Sydney Corporate Rugby 7’s Tournament will be hosted by easts Rugby Club and will be played on the 22nd September at Woollahra Oval. There will be more BMW, Mercedes Benz, SAAB and AuDI motor vehicles parked in the car park than usual on that day.
