Rudolf Atul Chemicals Ltd (RACL) is a joint venture company of Rudolf Group, a
specialty textile chemicals company from Germany and Atul Ltd, an integrated
diversified conglomerate (of Lalbhai Group) from India.
RACL offers a complete range of specialty textile chemicals. The Company
develops optimum solutions and provides extensive service to its customers.
RACL commenced manufacturing operations in Atul, Gujarat in 2012.

Incorporated in 1922 and headquartered in Germany, Rudolf GmbH has 20
subsidiary and joint venture companies in all the continents so as to
effectively service local customers. The Company is engaged in the business
of specialty textile chemicals and offers full range of technically proven
textile chemicals - its motto is ‘Quality Makes Friends’. It has an excellent
brand image in international markets - its brands stand for extraordinary
functional finishes and finishing processes.

Incorporated in 1947 and headquartered in India, Atul Ltd is a diversified

Pretreatment
Reproducible cleanliness, optimum
absorptive properties and gleaming white
are the bases that have to be ensured by
pretreatment to run flawless dyeing,
printing and finishing processes. RACL
helps to achieve economically and
ecologically optimised processes.

Dyeing
Dyeing of captivating brilliance,
levelness and highest fastness
properties are obtained with state-of-
the-art dyeing chemicals of RACL and
time-optimised processes.
Printing
Printing provides eye catching designs
and improves aesthetic look of the
fabric. Brilliancy and sharpness of the
prints can be achieved by RUCO-
BINDER, RUCO-FIXER and RUCO-
THICKENER range. RACL also offer
RUCO-PRINT range for digital printing.
Finishing
Finishing confers functional additional
value to textiles. For example, moisture-
absorbing softness for towels with
RUCOFIN®, sewing thread lubricants and
specialty finishes. With these and many
other technologies, the Company offers
intelligent solutions to its valued
customers.

processes for cost-reduction. RACL supports its customers
with a few ultra-short processes, which have proved

Competence Silicones
RACL is competent in emulsifying techniques required in
the field of silicone softeners and yarn lubricants. The
Company offers tailor-made modifications of basic silicone
structures with all types of functional side and end groups.
A current example is Hybrid chemistry - Hybrids are the
combination of different types of processes with the
purpose of increasing the performance. Due to the
combination, new and desired properties arise, creating
completely new textile solutions.

RACL is moving towards taking a leading position in the field
of ecological water, oil and soil-repellent textile finishing with
the new RUCO-GUARD® | BIONIC-FINISH® | C6 product
segments.
Today, Bionic finishes use nature’s concepts and translates
them into fascinating technical applications. The patented
BIONIC-FINISH® is the result of intensive R&D which is based
on the knowledge of Bionic. The newly developed dendrimer
chemistry enables to complete the range of effect and process-
optimised products, which are marketed under the names
RUCO-DRY® (FC-free) and RUCOSTAR® (contains FC).

Moisture management - Hydrophilic finishing of synthetics
RACL offers outstanding Hydrophilic finishing products for
functional textiles. The Company re-defined textile moisture
management with its patented polyurethane-silicone-hybrid-
technology-based SILURAN® system.
SILURAN® confers uniform moisture absorption or transportation,
considerably accelerated rapid drying properties, a discreet cooling
effect and an optimised handle. The product’s profile is
complemented by good antistatic properties, essential for
synthetic fibre textiles, which will otherwise uncomfortably cling
to the body. This creates, ‘Advanced wear comfort’, which by the
combination with the hygienic and fresh finish SILVERPLUS®, can
be extended into, ‘Total Wear Comfort’.

Silver has been successfully used for centuries as a means
against bacterial attack. RACL offers SILVERPLUS® - an
agent for top finishes of all fibres and textiles. This
antimicrobial or hygienic finish based on silver prevents the
uninhibited multiplication of bacteria on textile surfaces,
thereby maintaining natural balance of the skin.
