RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING COURSE OUTLINE This course is designed to licence a worker to conduct forkliſt operaons and provides the skills and knowledge required to be able to safely operate a forkliſt. The Naonally Accredited course has a high risk licence outcome. The course consists of face to face classroom delivery and praccal skilling. Fundamental underpinning knowledge of WHS regulaons, forkliſt truck characteriscs, capabilies and operaons. Praccal applicaon will consist of the safe operaon of a forkliſt truck and its aachments in a workplace environment. DURATION 3 Days DTE Training and Safety Skills (DTE) in conjuncon with Construcon Skills Queensland (CSQ), is able to offer subsidised funding for 2020 and 2021 contract term, to workers in the Building and Construcon Industry including Apprences and Trainees, subject to meeng eligibility criteria. ASSESSMENT A formal assessment shall be conducted when the candidate has completed the theory and praccal training. The theory assessment is a closed book assessment and is mandatory. On successful compleon parcipants will receive a Naonally Recognised Statement of Aainment and assessment summary which is required to submit a high risk license applicaon to WHSQ. RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

COURSE OUTLINE

This course is designed to licence a worker to conduct forklift operations and provides the skills and knowledge required to be able to safely operate a forklift. The Nationally Accredited course has a high risk licence outcome. The course consists of face to face classroom delivery and practical skilling. Fundamental underpinning knowledge of WHS regulations, forklift truck characteristics, capabilities and operations. Practical application will consist of the safe operation of a forklift truck and its attachments in a workplace environment.

CSQ ELIGIBILITY

To meet eligibility for CSQ subsided funding, participants must meet and have evidence of the following criteria;

An Australian or New Zealand Citizen; or A permanent resident of Australia; or A holder of a refugee or humanitarian visa;

and

Permanently reside in Queensland ; or Permanently employed in Queensland;

and

Be an existing worker and An eligible worker; or An unemployed eligible worker

To meet the eligibility for Apprentice Advance + subsided funding participants must meet and have evidence of the following criteria;

Must meet the above CSQ subsided funding criteria Must be a current active apprentice or trainee in

Queensland undertaking a recognised apprenticeship or traineeship including an eligible participant who is working on a major project; or

An eligible worker, including an eligible participant who is working on a major project or an unemployed eligible worker in the first year out of their CSQ recognised apprenticeship or traineeship who must commence training within 365 days of the completion date; or

A cancelled apprentice or trainee who was undertaking a recognised apprenticeship or traineeship that has been cancelled and are currently accessing State Government funding to complete their training.

You also must not have done or be the following;

Previously completed this course ; or An employee of any Authority (excluding employees of

an Indigenous Council that is a Principal Contractor); or Currently enrolled and participating in a secondary

school program (excluding a school based apprentice or trainee); or

A contracted trainer and assessor or existing worker of an RTO; or

Already funded by an Authority or other such source for delivery of the same training being undertaken as part of this program.
