HEALING IS COMING! A guide to healing, health and well-being
A NEW book by Don Egan. Ten years ago Don wrote the very popular book A Word about your healing.
Don’s NEW book - HEALING is coming! is out now! A completely new book on healing through Christ. Answering many frequently asked questions and with prayers for healing and simple guide to being healed and praying for others.
What others are saying:“Don Egan is one of Britain’s best kept secrets. He’s the kind of guy who just gets on with it - without any hype or fuss. But the results of his ministry have been absolutely remarkable. Truth is, God has used Don to see some of the most incredible miracles I have personally ever heard about. A man of profound integrity with a deep love for Christ and an unwavering compassion for people - this book isn’t written by a theorist but a practitioner. As you read it, it will undoubtedly stir greater faith and inspire you to experience God’s healing and wholeness in your own life as well as in the lives of others.’ Rev Roy Todd, International healing evangelist
“My friend Don Egan teaches Biblical principles clearly and simply for healing, health and well-being and don’t we need it?”Canon J.John, Philo Trust
Book price: £5 - available from RSVP Trust - www.rsvptrust.co.uk

Pastor Tom Abungu (RSVP Kenya) dressed as father Christmas, in December, as he served a Christmas lunch to hundreds of poor children and orphans. Thanks for those who gave towards the costs of this Christmas Party. It gave hope and laughter to many poor children in Kenya.
Christmas lunch - Kenya
Alison & Richard Fenning were joined by Lindsey Southgate on RSVP’s Mission Uganda The Church of Uganda, at the invitation of Bishop Thomas Irigei of Kumi district hosted the mission. Alison has ministered in this area of Uganda previously and was encouraged by the Bishop to return with a team to help with clergy training as well as impacting the community by visiting hospitals and prisons to preach the gospel.
Prison Awakening Alison and Lindsey preached at a small prison in Kumi. Many received Jesus and asked for regular discipleship classes. They were very poor in the prison and had no soap or sugar. We brought gifts for the prisoners and they
were so excited. We also donated three Bibles for them to study together.
Cathedral RevivalRichard preached in the Cathedral with the Archdeacon himself
translating on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The people of Kumi district are in great poverty and dispirited. Many responded with hope to the message that the manifest power of God can dwell within and bring hope daily. Some received the Holy Spirit and left that day with a fresh awakening in their hearts for the Kingdom of God, others received Jesus that day for the first time.

We were welcomed into the
hospital by the Chaplain and
taken to the wards. It was
amazing to see the differ-
ence in hygiene standards
and facilities. We saw many
sick people - the smell was
overwhelming. There were
dead bodies in beds next to
patients.
We saw a boy lying in
the dirt outside. He was suf-
fering from dysentery and
had been unable to eat for
many days. His mother said
she believed if we would
pray then her son would be
well. So we prayed for him,
commanding sickness to
leave and health to return
in Jesus’ name. His mother
was so very grateful.
Alison prayed for a
young girl who was 3 years
old. She was unconscious,
and at the point of death
from malaria. Her grand-
mother told them that the
little girl had begged the
family to take her to the
church so the people could
pray, as she knew God would
heal her.
Richard prayed for an
old man who had pain in
his legs and was unable to
walk. As we prayed Richard
invited him to stand, which
he did.
The following day Alison
and I went to Kumi prison
to preach. Following our
wonderful time there we
decided to go back to the
hospital to see how the
people we had prayed with
were.
On entering the grounds
Alison recognised the
mother of the little girl she
had prayed for- with her lit-
tle girl walking beside her!
Kumi Hospital Miracles! Lindsey Southgate
She had been discharged as
she was better!
The first ward was emp-
ty. Alison and I looked at
each other in confusion and
as we went from one ward
to another we saw very
few people. They had been
discharged as they were
better. Praise the Lord!
I did see the young boy
who had been outside. His
mother said he had eaten
and was feeling much bet-
ter. Wow!
As we were walking
through the grounds I saw
the old man Richard had
prayed for and he rose from
his chair and strode towards
me. His face was full of joy
and he put his arm around
my shoulder and shook my
hand.
It was so wonderful to
see how God had moved so
miraculously in that place!
RSVP water wells KenyaTHANK YOU RSVP Partners from the people of Kenya! Thanks to the generous giving of RSVP supporters, 2 new water pumps have now been installed and funds raised for further wells. Each drilling and pump costs £5,400.
Villagers previously had to collect water from polluted rivers which caused high child death rates. Young girls, who are the ones usually sent to get water, also suffered many episodes of rape, as
rapists would wait near the deserted river areas.
During installation, one woman asked who was paying for the wells. When Pastor Tom told her it was people far away in the UK, she burst into tears. “Why did they think of us when they have never been here?” She cried with gratitude.
Another man, when he
found out it was Christians doing the drilling, asked how he could become a Christian and gave his life to Jesus.
We are planning to instal a series of water wells across this area for the population of 30,000 people Can you help us?
The drilling machines arrive...
we are currently raising a further £20,000 for a further 4 wells.

Pastor Tom (red shirt) oversees the well installation and, below, the first lady villager gets pure clean water for her family, from the RSVP pump. The base will be enclosed in cement to finish it off.

RSVP Bible School - UgandaUganda saw the launch of the Bible School. The Bishop Thomas Irigei was so pleased he has invited us to return and continue the courses, “ I have been pleased to welcome the team. The teaching is so helpful for those who have had no formal training and for those who have to sharpen themselves. We have loved the holistic theme to the courses; this helps us to be practical in our ministries to the communities we live in and the people we minister too. Please we need your assistance in this area.”Bishop Thomas IrigeiSeventy clergy and youth and social pastors attended. The courses we delivered were, prayer, evangelism, mission, retreat, parenting, relationships, and gender and business development. All classes had a Biblical foundation and practical application. Alison has been very happy to begin and will continue to develop the Bible School. “Equipping 70 can have a wide impact for the spreading of the full gospel. Most of the leaders had Churches of 200 people. We are training and in turn not only will they reach out also they will train and equip their Churches to reach out” This Bible School is a strategic tool to see many saved and discipled.” Alison Fenning
the year of NEW BEGINNINGSEach year, between Christmas and New Year, I usually try and seek God’s guidance about his theme for the next year.Just as each year has difference seasons, I believe each year, God appoints a theme which underscores his work in our lives. As I woke up on 01/01/11 the number one came to my attention. The number 1 is the number of New Beginnings. The first page of a new notebook is always a moment I enjoy, wondering what notes and ideas will be written in it.As I prayed about this, I really felt God repeat that this is the year of new beginnings. For us at RSVP our new office location echoes that. But I believe this is a word for all of us today. So what does it mean?
I believe there will be outstanding opportunities for change in our personal lives and in our work for God. The question is, will we take those opportunities for change.God’s plan is always to grow us and make us more fruitful with the gifts he has given us - our natural talents and our particular anointing.Sometimes, the opportunities that present themselves don’t look very significant. But let us not despise the day of small beginnings (Zec 4:10).Some people are stuck in the past and just don’t see the point of trying something new. Like Lot’s wife, they look back and become
fossils.I urge you to seek God and allow him to guide you into your new beginning this year.“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19
