RSQC2

RSQC2 stands for Recall, Summarize, Question, Comment, and Connect. RSQC2 is an assessment device that encourages students to recall and review class information comprehensively. Instructors can use all or part of the tool. This technique allows instructors to compare detailed information on the students recall, understanding, and evaluation of a class session against their own. It provides students with a comprehensive framework for recalling and reviewing class sessions.

Students are asked to:

Recall: the most useful points from the pervious class place in rank order

Summarize: as many of the most important points as possible into one summary sentence that captures the core of the last class

Question: compose one or two questions that remain unanswered after the previous class

Connect: explain in one or two sentences the connections between the main points of the previous class and the major course objectives

Comment: provide an evaluative comment about the class
