STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Dear Parents and Guardians, Enrolment for 2017 If you have a child who is turning 5 by the 30th April 2017, it is time to enrol for Prep 2017 now. Prep enrolments are filling fast, so if you haven’t already or if you know of anyone intending to enrol here for next year, please do so as soon as possible. Alternatively, if you know that your child/ren will not be here next year, please notify the school office.
Arrival & Pick Up Time All students should be at school BY 9:00am. Late arrivals disrupt learning programs and mean that students miss vital parts of their learning. Students should not be on the school site before 8:45am, unless attending Before School Care. If you are unable to care for your child prior to that time, it is your responsibility to organise some form of childcare. Teachers are not officially on duty at school until 8:45am and the grounds are not supervised until then. Please also note that students should be picked up on time after school. Teachers continue to have work commitments and there will be no supervision of the grounds after 3:30pm.
Parent clubs We have a Parent Club for parents seeking an active role in the school. Parent clubs give you the opportunity to participate and contribute to your school community and in partnership with school councils organise social, educational and fundraising activities.

School Uniform I wish to remind everyone that students should be dressed in full school uniform. Especially in this extremely cold weather we are experiencing. It is an expectation that students make use of their uniform items first, before any additional pieces are added to keep warm. Parent Survey Thank you to those families that were randomly selected and issued with this year’s Parent Opinion. Your feed back is very important to us and your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Ric Maguire

AUSTRALIAN MATHEMATICS COMPETITION
Congratulations to the students from Years 3-6 that participated in the Australian Mathematics Competition last Thursday. The questions were extremely challenging, however everyone persisted and put in their best efforts. If students would like to share the tricky questions with their families, they can request to have their question booklet returned to them after Thursday 4th August.
If your child would like their question book returned to them, please let their classroom teacher know after this date and it can be arranged. Results will be received by the school in September and will be forwarded to families as soon as they are received.
Excellent effort by all involved!
Thank you Mrs. Nicholls
