Professional Experience GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT, UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA 2012-2014 Advisor: Dr. Sourav Banerjee Developed the DPSM model for ultrasonic field generated by a 100 MHz lens of scanning acoustic microscope using MATLAB. Worked with the Scanning acoustic microscope (SAM) for - Material property determination for 'engineering materials' (metals and composites) - Material flaw detection (defects) in electronic chips/packaging - Mechanical property determination of "Biological Materials" Designed and fabricated a novel technique for acoustic source localization using piezo-electric based transducer for real time structural health monitoring system. Performed finite element simulations and analysis (FEA) of acoustic wave emissions for the characterization of impact loads and structural damage, necessary for the NDI and health monitoring of complex structures. Experimented on dynamics of stress-strain waves for the development of advanced sensing techniques. Fabricated acoustoelastic metamaterial by incorporating elliptical split rings. Performed Finite element modelling (Comsol) of the fabricated material for frequency domain analysis. Ordered equipment for new lab set up and established guidelines for their use.
