Welcome back to a chilly start to 2017. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year break. The children have come back to school happy, relaxed and ready to learn. Year 5/6 had an exciting day today as they came into school dressed as World War 2 evacuees and experienced how it might have felt to be evac-uated to the countryside. On Thursday Professor King visited Yr 3/4 to demonstrate how lightning was created with a Van de Graaff Generator machine. It was extremely exciting!!!! This week we have welcomed Miss Abbey Ramsdale to the teaching staff, she joins Year R/1 and we wish her a very happy time at Rownhams as she joins our brilliant team. Miss Ramsdale is happy to meet informally with parents/carers in her class – just let her know if you want a catch up. I have attached a calendar of what’s on this term. This is a starter of dates and who it is for. I am sure there will be lots of other activities added to it which we will endeavour to publicise in plenty of time.
