We dared to re-engineer the sacred bike frame geometry of yore and ended up with a more comfortable, easier-to-control ride. Go figure.

The only hard part about riding an Electra is choosing which one to get. They’re all easy to ride and they look amazing. So take your time to figure out which one is perfect for you. We have multiple collections with different models within each line. Here are a few things to consider that will help you while you peruse.

Commuting? Burning calories? Joyriding? Find one that lives at the speed of you.

As important as anything. It’s got to be love at first sight.

There is no dress code, but if you’re biking in pants or a long skirt you might want a chainguard and fenders.

Comfort is a cornerstone of Electra bikes. In fact, we’ve got two patents on comfort – our Flat Foot Technology®

optimizes comfort, control and confidence.

Fat tires are cushy and 700c tires are skinnier and faster. If you’re into super cushy, then our balloon tires fit that bill.

People come in all shapes and sizes. The world’s more fun that way. Whatever your measurements are, you’ll find an Electra with a perfect fit. With our patented Flat Foot Technology®, the Amsterdam®, Cruiser and Townie® frame geometry adjusts to fit a wide range of sizes. Some Cruiser and Townie models are available in 24” and tall sizes too. The relaxed touring geometry of the Ticino comes in two sizes for men and one for ladies. The Verse’s fitness geometry is offered in four sizes for men and two for the ladies. Kids’ come in 20” with Flat Foot Technology and 16” for the littlest ones.

There are no rules. But if you keep these things in mind it will help you focus in on the bike that is tailor made for you. Work with your local authorized Electra dealer to determine which model is best for you.

We can’t be responsible for the look on your face when the motor kicks in. The Electra Townie® Go! is an easy to use, pedal assist bike with surprising power

that’ll make you want to go forever. The system automatically kicks in once you start pedaling for an added boost to help conquer hills with a smile and ride long distances without breaking a sweat.

We could get into a long description about how the Go!’s SRAM E-matic system works with lots of big words like planetary gear systems and thrust application, but it’s really quite simple. The motor monitors your pedaling power and speed, then automatically delivers some extra power when you need it.

We’ve got a patent for comfort. Checkmate, guy who invented the couch. The revolution started here. The Townie

introduced Electra’s patented Flat Foot Technology® to the world and it was love at first sight. It challenged the sacred geometry of bike design and created a completely different riding experience, not to mention a few shockwaves in the industry. With an upright seating position that lets you see the world better and place your feet flat on the ground whenever you want, the Townie sets a new standard in comfort and control. Although many Electra bikes feature Flat Foot Technology to some degree, the Townie showcases it in all its glory.

We know there are so many Townies to choose from, it can be hard to decide. Some people just pick their favorite color, which is cool. But you might want to look into things like the number of gears or balloon tires. No matter what, it’s all good.

A modern take on the Dutch city bike, the Amsterdam will make you fall in love with cycling all over again with its elegant combination of practicality, comfort and style. The fast-rolling 700c wheels mixed with our patented Flat Foot Technology® provide a nice, easy ride while the full chainguard and fenders let you ride without fear of messing up your threads.

Outrun boring. Our bikes are like the people that ride them. They don’t fit neatly into a category or somebody else’s definition of what they should be. And so goes the Verse. A sporty, lightweight, 700c bicycle that brings distinctive style to fitness cycling and everyday two-wheel transportation. The smooth, clean lines give it an appearance unlike anything in the category, while the artistic detail and quality of the finish rival what you would find on a high-end road bike, right down to the internal cable routing that maintains the bike’s fluid lines. But, the attention to detail is much more than cosmetic.

Starting with a clean slate, the Verse was built from the ground up to bring a higher level of performance than other Electra collections. Upright fitness geometry, a semi-integrated headset with easily adjustable quill handlebar stem, and performance-oriented gearing leave no doubt this bike will go as long and hard as you’re willing to. The Verse was also designed with integrated mounting points for seamless customization so you can outfit it to your specific needs. Available in 21 and 24-speed options, it is finished off with a custom Electra saddle, low-rise handlebars and grips. Disc model brings added features and upgrades to the line. So no, the Verse doesn’t fit neatly into a category. But then again, neither do you. Sounds like you’re perfect for each other.

Ed “Big Daddy” Roth was, to many, the consummate artist, free-spirited maverick of Southern California’s car culture of the 1950s through the ‘90s. In addition, our specially designed kid-sized saddles, handlebars and grips help guarantee perfect fit while our adjustable frame design accommodates major growth spurts. Parents will appreciate the rustproof stainless steel hardware, alloy rims, and thud-resistant steel chainguards and fenders. They’re also available in 16” Cruisers with removable training wheels because it’s never too early to get in on the awesome.
