Sets high levels strategy and priorities for a co-ordinated sub-regional employment and skills planOwns priority employment and skills outcomes in the sub regional economic strategyHolds to account agencies responsible for delivering employment and skills plan Ensures interventions respond effectively to employer demandEncourages strategic alignment of resources and plans amongst key agencies and with regard to national and regional strategiesContributes to the annual economic assessment
Executive Group
Reporting to the Employment and Skills Board. Key commissioning agencies.
Generates commissioning plans for priority outcomesReports on performance, progress chases delivery agenciesReceives and reports information on significant interventions (e.g. Future Jobs, Fit for Work etc, Routeways, MACs, SRIP)Co-ordinating intervention at all levels incl. RoutewaysInforming & directing the activity of the sub-groupsCo-ordination of the client journey and employer engagementSharing details on funding streams & initiatives Input from ESB and sectoral leads re. national / local & sector issues
