Using the 6/8 Sewing Revolution and extension wedge using with a water soluble pen mark

(1) mark a 63.5cm diameter circle onto the fabric and spot mark the very centre.

(2) Mark a diameter circle 56 cm for curtain ring placements as a guide

7. Lay your embroidery templates onto the circle, centre

of design 9 cm from the outer circle (because of the size

of my design I could only place 11 templates) and

embroider

. TIP. I did not hoop my fabric but laid it on top of the

hooped stabilizer, used double sided tape around the

edges to hold in place and then “fixed” in place with my

machine before I embroidered.

Run a large straight stitch around the outer circle

and then rinse out the water soluble marking

pen.

And mark the centre with thread dot.

PRE-STIFFENED ORGANZA

8. Measure 46 cm circle onto pre stiffed organza and

stitch build a lace edging. Mark a 13 cm circle in

centre and stitch a lace border. Mark centre with a

dot. Stitch build a 16 cm x 4 cm strip for the ear ring

carriers.

Cut 6 x 25 cm squares pouches – using a plate draw

24 cm circle on each square and stitch a scalloped

edging with an eyelet stitch row 1.5 cm inside.

Then embroider a small design in the centre.

Cut very carefully around the edges and then

using a stencil burner gently seal the edges and

burn out alternate eyelets.

Wash away the stabilizer and press with cool iron

satin then mark centre with a dot and draw three circles

– (1) 63.5 cm. (2) 56 cm (3) 46 cm diameter using a

washaway marking pen.

Mark the inner circle into 12 divisions (2 of these will

be the ear ring carrier space)

EAR RING CARRIER 10 Mark another line 6 cm below.

Pin the top carrier lace onto the marked line. and pin

another row of lace to the second line then attach ear

ring carriers with a hemstitch W3.8 and L.2.4

POCKETS

11. Lay the organza pocket pieces onto the lining and

using a decorative satin stitch sew the pocket divisions

then REALLY CAREFULLY heat seal edge of the

inner lace near the centre with the stencil burner.

inner lace circle closing the pocket base

.

(2) Stitch one row of decorative stitch just below the

needle stitch Velcro dots under the centre embroidery of

each pouch and onto alternate pocket divisions 4 cm
