Starting our days in February was the usual exploring of the college campus. The college campus is massive and various utilities available in the campus like a cafe, supermarket, starbucks. It took us while to settle down to the weather and the environment. We witnessed our first snow fall in Rotterdam, the black grey look with snow everywhere was a beautiful view for the first sight. Theport of Rotterdamis the largestcargo port in Europeand the 10th largest in the world. There was direct view of water from our room where we could see the ships travelling. There is a blaak market on every Tuesday and Saturday of the week. Blaak market is the citys best and sprawls across its namesake square across from the cube houses. It has a striking new indoor market and stalls that sell all manner of foods great and small, gadgets, clothes, antiques, snacks and a lot more. A best view of Rotterdam was experienced form Euromast. Euromast offers a unparalleled 360-degree views of Rotterdam from the 100m-high observation deck. Then we came across the Erasmus bridge. The Erasmus Bridge is one of the icons of Rotterdam. One of Hollands most famous bridges, it was officially opened by Queen Beatrix in 1996 as an important connection between the Northern and Southern parts of Rotterdam. The bersus market was a shopping place which had all the high end brands available. There was a small vacation planned in the spring break to Italy. Italy was explored by visiting various cities like Rome, Florence, Pisa and Venice through a road trip. One of the seven wonders ,the colosseum was one of places that we saw in Rome. It was a beautiful architectural building highlighting the artistic nature of the Colosseum. Vatican city is the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church. It's home to the pope and a trove of iconic art and architecture. These two remains the highlights of Rome. The road trip continued with Florence where we saw the bridge and Pisa where we saw the famous leaning tower of Pisa and got clicked with it. Then the last destination of our road trip was Venice. It is a pretty place where the mode of travel was the water metro. We saw the glass factory and the various beautiful items that they had made in glass factory. In Venice we explored the burano island. Buranois anislandofVenicein Italy, famous for its lace and coloured houses. Close to our housing in Rotterdam was a beautiful lake, where we usually spent our Sunday afternoon after a religious visit to Gurudawara and experiencing the delicious langar. Biking was the best mode of transport, it was one of the healthiest and cheapest way to travel in Rotterdam. A random bike riding and walking on the streets of Rotterdam was a fun element of the weekdays. A trip to Amsterdam was made. We travelled on the train from Rotterdam to Amsterdam, experiencing the scenic view. There we got clicked with "I Amsterdam", then a tour to Heineken beer factory, the ice bar was freezing point of our trip and then the random wandering over in the streets, experiencing the Japanese and Chinese cuisines for lunch and dinner. The fair that was put up on the streets with various interesting swings was a fun element, then we had the famous huge fries, it was simply delicious. The exam week started in the mid April, which kept us occupied for a week. The entire Rotterdam weekdays were spent in the campus attending classes and guest lectures which enhanced our knowledge about the Dutch tradition and Europe. The classes scheduled was a mix of presentations, in class assignments and delivery of lectures by the professors. The last vacation of this trip was to Spain. It was a dream destination to travel. Barcelona had a lot of warmth, energy and colour to offer to us. There We did the extreme adventure one could think of, it was the sky diving. It was the best experience and adventure we could have ever tried in our lifetime. Barcelona has various tourist places that we visited starting from the mall in the water to Montijuic to Sagrada Familia, Barcelona stadium, Montserrat, Santa Maria del Mar, Columbus Monument, to the amazing beaches. Ibiza was beach fun trip of two days, where we had the fun time in beach, swimming pool and exploring the night life. Then the vacation continued by heading back to Barcelona form Ibiza.
