Since its founding in 1927, Rottefella has gainedthe position of world leader in ski bindings. Thiscan be credited to a knowledge of skis and snowas well as to the following: innovation, technologyand a close co-operation with skiers at all levels.

We wish to maintain our position as world leaderthrough innovation and good design, and by usingadvanced computer technology in research anddevelopment. By taking advantage of technology,we are able to make prototypes of bindings veryquickly in order to test their qualities at an earlystage.

All our products are user-oriented and satisfy userdemands.

Since Rottefella won its firstOlympic gold medal in 1928,racers using our bindings haveperformed excellently in all majorski events competitions and inWorld Cup competitions. Topathletes choose our skibindings.

Our cross country bindings and boot soles are based on our patented NNN system:

- Bindings and boots are carefully fitted together in order to obtain maximum contact and performance.- The wide binding plate and double steering grooves provide excellent stability and ski control.- The dual guide rail increases stability and ski control.- The binding consists of two separate parts that flex with the ski.

T h e N N N s o l e t e c h n o l o g yThe NNN binding will not work without the NNN sole. The binding and the boot is an integratedunit. The soles are developed by Rottefella in close co-operation with leading ski boot manufactu-rers. A steel bail is moulded into the sole and works as connection between boot and binding. Thebail is located 10 mm behind the front of the boot for the most natural movement of the foot.

The BC sole is a heavy-duty version of the NNN sole, perfectly adapted to the NNN-BC system. Theattachment bail is mounted 15 mm behind the front of the boot. The BC sole and BC bindings arefit uniquely to each other.

There are three types of NNN soles:1. Racing soles for racing boots for the skating and classic techniques. 2. Touring soles for touring boots. 3. BC soles for BC boots, the heavy-duty alternative to standard NNN boots.

Maximum stabilityThe NNN technology features a widebinding plate. It gives the sole of theboot additional support that can befelt in the form of improved stability.

MaximumcontrolThe dual guide railincreases stabilityand ski control. Bootand binding interactto perfection.

Maximum contactNo other binding system brings the humanfoot so close to the cross-country ski.

New this year is an innovative sole, with patented technology for touring and performance skiing.Rottefella`s boot partners have now the possibility to develop personalized design on various bootmodels.

Power transfer

The NIS binding is attached to the plate inthe bindings full length,which provides optimumpower transfer.

Rottefella has developed the NIS system in co-operation with our NNN partners and elite skiers.The binding is easily mounted without the use of screws on the ski’s integrated NIS plate. Theclose connection between ski and binding offers 100% contact.

Fine tuningThe binding slides on tothe NIS plate and canbe adjusted and lockedin different positionsenabling the skier toachieve an individualtechnique and style.

R4 Racing Skate and Classic have been speciallydeveloped for the NIS system and are used by worldclass skiers. The close contact between ski and binding offers an optimum transfer of energy fromskier to ski. In order to ensure perfect individual fitting, the R4 bindings have interchangeable frontflexors available in three different hardnesses.

The Nemo is a binding specially designed for kids and is our latest NNN binding in the NIS portfolio.Specially designed for the NIS binding plate, the Nemo features all the positive characteristics thathave made our original kids binding, DINO, so popular. On top of this, it is extremely easy tomount on a NIS kids ski. The binding comes in one piece and just simply slide it on to the NISplate – click!

The heavy-duty BC system is developed for back-country touring and in-track/out-of-track skiing inrugged country. The functional and reliable bindings feature a binding plate with extra-deep steeringgrooves that match the NNN BC boot sole for maximum stability and ski control. The bindings areavailable with step-in/-out or manual mechanism as well as an extra-wide binding.
