LA GUERRA DE ROSES

Exhibition "On the border of the Empire: War and Society in Roses, 1773-1833" on Friday December 5. Roses will conclude the programming of events organized to mark of the commemoration of the bicentennial of the French War.

French War (1808-1814) led to Roses, again, a military confrontation between the major European powers and meant another siege to the square of the Citadel military and for its civilian population. Successful participation in the "I race for Women" Department of Media 01/12/2008 12:50 Sunday November 30 was held at the Roses' AND THE WOMEN "organized by the Club and the Athletics Roses Roses Foundation Against Cancer, sponsored by the City of Roses and collaboration of various local companies.

The route of 3 kms was developed entirely within the Olympic Port of Roses, and was attended by 142 women and 29 men. The collection of the test was aimed at the Fundació against cancer.

Swiming pool from Roses

Roses has a local swimming pool and it is placed in the road of the Mas Oliva, where it is possible to arrive and give so much a bath, or to do different activities: some of the activities inside the swimming pool are: aquagim or swimming synchronized with a monitor.After that there is a part of relaxation where you can enjoy two Jacuzzis, a sauna and a steam bath, there is also an exterior zone where it is possible to sunbathe, with a small platform with some chairs of plastic to lie down.To report of the zone of the swimming pool and easing, there is a part of gymnasium, where you can do all kinds of exercises: from a simple stretching in the blanklets, up to a raising weight. Cantar de Mio Cid es un cantar de gesta anónimo que relata hazañas heroicas inspiradas libremente en los últimos años de la vida del caballero castellano Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar. Se trata de la primera obra narrativa extensa de la literatura española en una lengua romance.El poema consta de 3.735 versos de extensión variable, aunque dominan versos de 14 a 16 sílabas métricas. Los versos del Cantar de Mio Cid están divididos en dos hemistiquios separados por cesura. La longitud de cada hemistiquio es de 4 a 13 sílabas, y se considera unidad mínima de la prosodia del Cantar. No hay división en estrofas, y los versos se agrupan en tiradas, es decir series de versos con una misma rima asonante. Oscar

Está escrito en castellano medieval y compuesto alrededor del año 1200 (fechas post quem y ante quem: 1195–1207). Se desconoce el título original, aunque probablemente se llamaría gesta o cantar, términos con los que el autor describe su obra en los versos 1.085 y 2.276, respectivamente.

El Cantar de Mio Cid es el único conservado casi completo de su género en la literatura española y alcanza un gran valor literario por la maestría de su estilo. Los cuatro textos épicos conservados son: las Mocedades de Rodrigo —circa 1360—, con 1700 versos, Cantar de Roncesvalles —ca. 1270— (fragmento de unos 100 versos) y una corta inscripción de un templo románico, conocida como Epitafio épico del Cid —¿ca. 1400?—).y Crónica de veinte reyes.

Gustavo Adolfo Béquer JUAN RUIZNació el 17 de febrero de 1.836, fue un poeta y narrador español perteneciente al movimiento del Romanticismo. Nació en Sevilla, hijo del pintor José Domínguez Insausti y de Joaquina Bastida de Vargas, descendía de una noble família de comerciantes de origen flamenco establecida en la capital andaluza en el s. XVI. En 1.846, con 10 años ingresa en el Colegio de Náutica de Santo Telmo (Sevilla), pero años más tarde el Colegio se suprime quedando desorientado y huerfano hasta que se fue a vivir con su madrina.

Contrajo matrimonio con Casta Esteban Navarro y tuvieron tres hijos. Antes de morir pidió a su amigo el poeta Ferrán de que publicasen sus obras, porque, como él mismo dijo: 'tengo el presentimiento que seré más conocido muerto que vivo '. Conocido como el Arcipreste de Hita, fue un poeta castellano que vivió en la primera mitad del siglo XIV. Es autor de la obra literaria más importante de la Edad Media española: el Libro de buen amor, compuesto en aquel lugar lamentable «donde toda incomodidad tiene su asiento, y donde todo triste ruido hace su habitación». un libro claro, jocundo, desasosegado y burlón; a veces libertino, a veces gravemente moralizador; unas, urbano, otras, transcendiendo a flores rústicas y montaraces. Se le ha comparado con Rabelais y con Chaucer, y más cerca está de la minuciosa erudición del autor del Parlement of foules, que de la machuna alegría gala del padre de Pantagruel.

Es un libro español, y, más aún, castellano; y a través del grave metro del mester de clerecía, ondula y vibra el espíritu nacional, elegante y señor, sobreponiéndose y dominando a los amables horrores y libertinas licencias que relata. Y para referir tanto suceso, el rígido y bronco romance, que en el Poema del Cid suena al paso de andar de los férreos barraganes, y en Berceo se apoya en clericales rodrigones latinos, en este libro aparece suelto, destrabado, ágil, gracioso, a veces un poco femenino, inflamado por una poderosa y lírica inspiración.
