Imagine transforming the alley between the Sequoia Hotel and Redwood Plaza off Main Street in downtown Redwood City by displaying ten freestanding 4’ x 8’ plywood murals created by local school and community groups in and around Redwood City.

Murals would be rotated every 9 months to a year.

● Schools and organizations may apply to design and paint a mural.

● Registered groups will attend a workshop on “How to Design and Create a Collaborative Mural”.Selected finalists receive a sheet of plywood and paint.

● The City of Redwood City will treat the finished murals with an anti-graffiti coating and install them into freestanding metal frames.

● When it is time to rotate the murals, they may be displayed at a new location, or returned to the school/group for them to enjoy!

How This Will Work!
