Notes The Rotary Summit Center is on the top floor (7th floor) of the 4th Street Parking Garage.

Visiting Rotarians and guests are urged to join the Rotary Club of San Jose at its Wednesday noon meetings. The Fairmont Hotel prepares the meal and it is $25, the parking in the 4th Street Garage is $3 if you bring the parking stub into the meeting room for validation.

 We meet at the Rotary Summit Center banquet facility located on the seventh floor of the Fourth Street Parking Garage in the San Jose Civic Center across the street from San Jose State University and the Martin Luther King Library.

Our meeting begins at noon each Wednesday and ends at exactly 1:30 pm.  

The entrance to the Fourth Street Garage is on Fourth Street, which is a one-way street.  

To get to the Fourth Street Parking Garage turn on Fourth Street (one way going south) off Santa Clara Street, toward San Jose State University. The view of the Fourth Street Garage approach from 4th Street:

 

The Fourth Street Parking Garage will be immediately on the left hand side of the street before you reach San Fernando.

Look for the parking sign on the left as your approach the entrance to the parking garage on the left side of 4th Street.

 The elevator entrances on the Fourth Street side of the facility will take you to the Rotary Summit Center that is located on the seventh floor of the structure.

THE CLUB OFFICES are located at History Park, which is a part of Kelly Park in San Jose. The address is 1690 Senter Road, San Jose, CA 95112. The telephone is 408-297-6100 and the fax number is 408-297-6291. The offices are located in the Gordon House in the historical house museum area of Kelly Park. Parking is limited but it is free if you are attending a Rotary meeting at the Gordon House.

 

 

The Gordon House was originally located at McKee and Toyon Streets in northeast San José. This Italianate farmhouse, built c. 1879, is named for the family that purchased it in 1887. The house has been extensively renovated several times, including the construction of the verandah encompassing nearly three sides of the house.  

It was moved to the History Park site in 1986. Restoration and adaptive re-use has been done by the San José Rotary Club, which holds a long-term lease with the City of San José. The Gordon House is open to the public about four times per year.
