Club 888 Lucky Draw (2010 - 2011)

Club 888 Lucky Draw Service Above SelfClub 888 lucky draw has been our annual lucky draw for more than 20 years now. Throughout the years, we have

made many and different contributions to our Rotary Club Hong Kong South communities services projects. A

single draw with numerous prizes will be conducted. Your chance of winning is high. Your donation will be used for

local community service which will include helping the needy, supporting education and environmental activities.

The funds raised will also be used for ad hoc local support and relief service projects.

Our recent donations include :1. Our club held English Dialogue Sessions at Hong Kong True Light College by the help of Interactors from West

Island School, and Aplichau Kaifong Primary School by the Interactors of German Swiss International School to

teach students English. Moreover, we donated English story books and sponsored students of Hong Kong True

Light College to attend a play by Shakespeare.

2. We support a scholarship to an eligible student in the Hong Kong Sea School.

3. Interact Club of the Canadian International School participated in a Coastal Cleanup at Sandy Bay. Our club

organized the event and sponsored refreshements.

4. We organized essay competition in Chinese and English for the Secondary School students to enhance their

writing skills.

5. The Youth Forum was our Club’s further effort in 2009-2010 to help secondary school students on a group basis

to help position themselves in society. The Youth Forum on “Youth Role in Society” was held on 24 April 2010.

The Youth Forum was not a debate and not a one-stop activity. It was a series of sharing sessions which provided

students with the opportunity to exchange views on topics relevant to their growth and well-being.

6. Through donation of book coupons to needy families and students through schools, we hope to relief their

burden. With the support of our members we also donated school bags to Secondary School students.

7. Our club through the Chi Heng Foundation is supporting two students’ who are impacted by AIDS by paying for

their university fees until they graduate.

The lucky draw will be held on 5th May 2011 at Top Deck, Shum Wan Pier Drive, Wong Chuk Hang. Winners will

be notified of the results via phone and e-mail. Results will be published in the South China Morning Post and Sing

Pao Daily News on 13th May 2011. All prizes must be claimed on or before 31st August 2011. Prizes are non-

refundable.
