My, how time flies when you’re having a good time. I have truly enjoyed being your president over the past two years. I’ve had the pleasure of working with outstanding officers, appointed board, chairs, and so many members, long-timers, and new. Thank you, One and All.
Now we will go into Summer with some special events. First, our joint board meeting on Tuesday, June 18th at 10AM. We’re having our meeting, then we will have a potluck lunch. Bring your best.
And the finale is the Summer Celebration on Wednesday, June 26th. You won’t want to miss this event. We will be thanking our current leaders and wel-coming new officers and their supporting team. We will be at the Elks Club, so get your tickets as soon as you can.
Once again, thank you for your encour-agement and love. You have enriched my life.
President Pam Albo “Be the friend you would like to have.”

Fun Season The time as your Mystery Prize Shoppers this past season has come to a close. We thoroughly enjoyed shop- ping and handing out the Mystery Prizes to the lucky raffle winners at each general meeting. A BIG Thank You to everyone who gave their $1 to make it such a huge success.
Making it fun was our goal. Hoping you will agree with us, we believe we nailed it! As the torch is passed to two more shoppers stepping up, we are looking forward to giving our $1 at a chance to win!

The Rose Cream. Cream roses are indicative of charm & thoughtfulness.
Green. Green is the color of life, abundant growth, & constant re-newal of life & energy.
Lavender. Love-at-first-sight or just an enchanting way to say, "I love you!"
Orange. Orange roses evoke energy & can indicate enthusiasm, desire, & excitement.
Peach. Are you grateful for someone or just want to show your apprecia-tion? A bouquet of peach roses shows your deep appreciation & gratitude.
Pink. Words like admiration, gentle-ness, grace, gladness, joy, & sweet-ness are just a few ways to describe the meaning behind the pink rose.
Red. Red roses are the traditional symbol for love, romance, & will al-ways be a way to say “I love you.”
Salmon. A slightly pinker shade of orange, the meaning behind salmon-colored roses evoke the same mes-sage as orange roses.
White. White roses, the purist of colors, represent innocence, purity, & charm. White roses are tradition-ally used in weddings & can repre-sent new beginnings.
Yellow. Bright, cheerful, & joyful. Yellow roses create warm feelings & provide happiness.
The red rose whispers of passion And the white rose breathes of love O, the red rose is a falcon And the white rose is a dove John Boyle O'Reilly

Christmas Thoughts The 2019 Christmas Charities will be doing things a little differently this year. And it’s never too early to offer your donations. We are requesting ONLY socks, gloves/mittens, and hats – both children and adult sizes. We are also asking for Marie Callender pie tins that we return for money which is used to buy more socks, etc.
Our donations will be given to local charities to distribute to their clientele. We will NOT ACCEPT any other items. If you have other items, which are always needed and appreciated, please take them to these organizations yourselves.
Your generosity has always been over-whelming, and I’ll be collecting your donations at our general meetings.
Thank you all so much!
