HERE WE GROW…No parent ever plans for their child to besick or critically injured, yet when theunimaginable happens, Ronald McDonaldHouse Charities® of Michiana is here forthem. Whether it’s a hot shower, acomfortable bed or home cooked meal, theappreciation for what we do runs incrediblydeep. And now we are planning to movefrom a three-bedroom Ronald McDonaldFamily Room® to a 20-bedroom RonaldMcDonald House® with the capacity to servecountless more day guests. Throughcharitable contributions, we’ll soon behelping more than five times as manyfamilies. We anxiously await the nextchapter for our Home-Away-From-Home.

Families ServedAn impact research study conducted by RMHC Global noted that “patients whose families stayed at the Ronald McDonald House were the sickest, traveled the furthest distances and spent the longest time in the hospital.”

A study published in 2015 concluded that Ronald

McDonald Houses played a significant role in family-

centered-care. Over 90% of surveyed doctors in the

study agreed that Ronald McDonald Houses reduced

both costs and stress for families.

Children are referred to Memorial Children’s Hospital for pediatric care from 14 counties in Michiana and 28 hospitals.
