Switchgear Employed for the protection of Inductionmotor.

Generally two basic protectionviz short circuitprotection and overload protection are provided foreach motor.

The Switchgear used for protection includes

contractors with H.R.C. fuse and thermal overloadrelays along with CB.

This method to provide earth fault protection is calledcore balance type protection.

It is also calledzero sequence current transformer.

It is preferred the system with neutral earthed wiresystem.
