Get Out the Vote

Less than 300,000 out of an estimated 8.7 million

overseas Americans cast absentee ballots in 2012. The

Republicans lost the White House in 2012 by less than

500,000 votes. An additional 500,000 votes from

overseas Americans can determine the election.

Representation at the RNC

Republicans Overseas has 20 non-voting delegates at

the Republican National Convention and a strong

relationship with the RNC. We ensure that our issues

are heard at the highest levels within the party.

End FBAR

Along with FATCA, the FBAR regulations deny

constitutional protections to overseas Americans and

impose disproportionate penalties for non-

compliance.

Educate Congress

We provide members of Congress with information

and data on key issues that affect overseas Americans

such as FATCA and the Passport Revocation Provision

of the FAST Act.

Abolish FATCA

FATCA denies overseas Americans important

constitutional protections and imposes undue hardships.

The Same Country Safe Harbor act proposed by the

Democrats is unworkable and perpetuates FATCA’s

constitutional violations on overseas Americans.

Challenge FATCA in Court

Democrats imposed FATCA, and a Democratic

president will not repeal it. We are challenging the

constitutionality of FATCA and the undue hardships

that it imposes on overseas Americans.

Return to Residence Based Taxation

We advocate the repeal of Citizen Based Taxation

(CBT). CBT was enacted during the Civil War. The

Civil War ended long ago, and CBT should revert to

Residence Based Taxation.

Repeal Passport Revocation Provision

We advocate the repeal of the Passport Revocation

Provision of the FAST Act which gives unprecedented

and unconstitutional powers to the IRS.
