Under Auckland Council’s new plans, waste

charges will double for many of those living

in the Rodney ward.

Internal Auckland Council documents exposedby the Ratepayers’ Alliance show that theCouncil is planning to hike rates to subsidisenew Council-run waste operations. Rightnow private competition has kept our wastecharges among the lowest in Auckland – so theCouncil’s going to hike rates to “standardise”and expand its empire. That means yourhousehold will being paying more.

comes from numbers – that’s why we need
