Morrison Foundation
The Thomas Patrick Morrison Foundation was
created to honor the legacy of Thomas Patrick
Morrison. Thomas Patrick Morrison was born
on October 23, 2005 and passed into eternalrest on January 20, 2006. During the second
day of Thomas short life, doctors diagnosed
him with a metabolic disorder of unknown
origin. Metabolic disorders are extremely rare
conditions that generally prevent the body
from properly metabolizing nutrients resulting
in toxicity and, in certain cases, organ failure.
Children suffering from metabolic disorders
often die during the rst year of life. Thomas
condition caused his death just three days shy
of his three-month birthday.
Thomas parents created the Foundation, a
501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization,
to provide nancial support to children and
families of children suffering from metabolic
disorders and similarly devastating rare
diseases and conditions. Through the
generosity of our donors, the Foundation is
able to make nancial awards to families who
are struggling with nances. The nancial grants
help to cover utility bills, mortgages and other
living expenses. To date the Foundation has
made nancial grants to thirteen families and
provided hundreds of free meal cards to the
families of hospitalized children. Without your
support, these children and families might have
nowhere to turn in their time of great need.
