X-Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy
AGAT Laboratories is proud of its commitment to the Canadian economy and to technological innovation. This continual improvement has allowed us to offer “Service Beyond Analysis” to our clients for over 40 years. As part of our strong history in geochemical testing, AGAT is leading providing of X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) testing.
XRF is the industry standard in many areas of analysis, including mining ores, cuttings, oil and gas core, oil sands and other various materials (construction, metals, industrial and production). AGAT Laboratories uses a combination of Bruker benchtop (wavelength dispersive) and handheld (energy dispersive) units to capture the full spectrum of analytical needs. Bruker instruments lead the industry in precision and accuracy for elemental detection.
AGAT Laboratories offers analytical solutions on a wide variety of sample matrices using specialized methods which include:

Handheld EDXRF AnalysisOur handheld EDXRF analysis and modeling provide the following:
• Elemental Profiles – Major and Minor elemental concentrations to help identify sequences, boundaries and elemental hot spots.
• Mineral Modeling – Mineralogical profiles are obtained from the elemental profiles and inputs from additional XRD analysis.
• Reservoir Properties – Modeled from mineralogy, elemental profiles and AGAT’s proprietary in-house reservoir properties database (multivariable correlations and machine learning).
• Mechanical Properties – Modeled from reservoir properties, mineralogy, elemental profiles and AGAT’s proprietary in-house mechanical properties database (multivariable correlations and machine learning).
