Intermediate Robotics Workshop – Advancing beyond the basics When: Day 2 - Fri 24th March 2017 9.30am-3pm Where: Parramatta State School 122 Mulgrave Road, Cairns Qld 4870 Workshop Fee: $149.00 including GST *Morning tea & lunch will be provided. Target Audience: Teachers with a basic knowledge of the EV3 platform looking to extend their knowledge of programming or data logging. In this workshop, participants will: • Further develop their understanding of programming with the EV3 robotics system • Create programs incorporating variables and mathematical algorithms • Use advanced sensors such as those used in the RoboCup Jnr Australia competition • Learn advanced programming techniques • Learn EV3-G shortcuts and use of Bluetooth • Use the EV3 as a data logger • Troubleshoot with the EV3 • See the EV3 programmed in a text-based language and a ‘Scratch’ like language using RobotC. Experience first-hand just how engaging and stimulating robotics can be in developing creative thinking, problem solving, teamwork & communication skills.
