• The digital DC drive incorporates the latestelectric technology enabling computercontrolled setup

• A patented, two-piece swivel float box preventstransfer of bending moments to the gearbox,and a replaceable threaded insert lowersmaintenance costs

Air or Diesel Powered Crawler

Air and diesel powered crawlers has been adapted for use intransporting and erecting the derrick assembly. The crawleroffers complete independence from the mine infrastructure fortransport and erect the machine. All crawlers are remotecontrolled, either by cord or radio controlled.

Electric Drive System

The DC drive has been refined greatly over the past 2 decadesand has become a very reliable and versatile drive. This drivesystem has proven performance on larger raises where low rpmmust be accompanied by high torque. Because of the variablerpm and good torque limiting control, the DC drive is best suitedfor medium to large diameter size machines. Since 1992digitally controlled DC drives have been used on raise drills.

The remote controlled groundloading pipeloader con-tributes to improved raise boring efficiency. The unit can bemounted on either side of the mainframe, which makes theraise boring machine more adaptable to individual siterequirements.

PipeloaderSled Erector

The sled erector is intended as the simplest support anderection platform. Skids are provided on the sled so that itcan be dragged into place. Both erection cylinders haveintegral counterbalance (holding) valves for improvedsafety of operation. The sled erector might be rail mountedor provided on a rubber tired vehicle.
