Census 2015SEN – New SEN Code of Practice starts Sept 2014• Autumn term transition from SEN Stage A & P codes to
new ‘SEN Support’ code (A&P codes not in Jan 15 census) – under regular review
• New ‘Education, Health & Care Plan’ (EHCP) code replaces SEN Statemented – transition during academic year 14/15
• SEN Type (Primary & Secondary Needs) will apply for ALL ‘SEN Support’ and ‘EHCP’ pupils as well as those on ‘Statemented’
• Note changes to SEN Type codes…..

Census 2015Changes to SEN Type codes:• BESD ‘Behaviours, Emotional & Social
Difficulties’ will be removed and replaced with SMEH ‘ Social, Mental & Emotional Health’
• New SEN Type ‘K: still exploring & assessing nature of pupil’s SEN’ – could be used effectively for current SEN A pupils

Census 2015Universal Free School Meals• For all Year R, 1 & 2 pupils, census data to
inform funding from Sept 14
• For Oct 14, Jan 15 & May 15 censuses – expect single figure of no of children take-up on day of census
• From Oct 15 Census, average of figures from last 3 termly census figures will be calculated

G2 Assessment 2014Phonics • Threshold mark released 30th June• Enter phonics values (Wa/Wt) on/after
30/6 and then make the return to LA• All information for all data collections on
the cbict.org.uk site

G2 Assessment• New assessment for Sept 15• NAHT Report – Commission on
Assessment – 22 recommendations• Reforming Assessment and accountability
for primary schools (DfE document)• Teaching school commissioned by LA to
review assessment
