To be reviewed regularly in line with changes to Government strategy. Working group to convene regularly to share information and decide wider communication actions. NB Be aware of the impact of using face masks on people who are hard of hearing. Currently we know that two Year 3 pupils have hearing issues and usually lip read. 1. Staff are not in a bubble - they must maintain 1m+ distancing to children and other adults. Principle to keep everyone 2m apart where possible, if not then 1m+.
2. All vulnerable staff have been identified, recorded and appropriate measures agreed to safeguard them.
3. Staff will follow guidance re social distancing, hand washing and use of hand sanitiser.
4. Face masks and other PPE are not required except in very limited situations (mainly personal/SEN/medical care and specific cleaning scenarios). However, if staff wish to wear PPE such as face masks and visors in school, they are welcome to. NB Be aware of the impact of using face masks on people who are hard of hearing. Currently we know that two Year 3 pupils have hearing issues and usually lip read. Consider using a visor instead of a mask if you will be teaching/interacting with anyone who lip reads.
5. All areas used by staff will have access to hand sanitisers, cleaning spray and tissue.
6. The JS staffroom will have a maximum capacity of 15.
The SS common room will have a maximum capacity
of 21. Furniture has been rearranged in line with
government guidance to maximise space between
people. Do not use adjacent seats on casual seating.
Avoid sitting face to face where possible Coffee
machines have been moved in the SS to allow for
social distancing measures when using. Markings have
been placed on the floor to remind staff to queue at
an appropriate distance. A new area has been set up
in the SS Staff IT room for staff to access an urn of hot
water to enable them to make tea separately. Sliced
cakes and fresh fruit will not be available – packaged

have seating priority between 12 and 12.30 for lunch.
8. During Sept INSED staff meetings, agenda will include
a discussion on use of spaces, respecting personal
space and use of shared equipment, including hygiene
practices. Line managers will be asked to conduct a
brief well-being check-in with their direct reports once
a fortnight for the first half term, with any significant
concerns escalated to the respective SLT as necessary.
9. Subscriptions for common room magazines have been
suspended.
10. Staff to be aware that other people may have different attitudes or circumstances that affect their perceived or actual Covid risk. Be considerate to others and always work in a way that suits the most cautious member of any group.

abiding by the Covid-safe provisions that we have laid
out, or you have any related concerns, please speak
to Gabby, your line manager or another trusted
member of the senior team.
12. Deliberate and/or repeated breaches of the school’s

programme as normal, but each club restricted to one
year group per half term. Head of Co-curricular will
check that there is an equal number of clubs on offer
for each year group. Rather than the usual co-
curricular fair, sign-up will take place during a
designated Form Period, using a shared, live
document.
2. After school clubs (externally run): Clubs will run as
normal (with the exception of any that use
ELSC/contact activities, namely Swimming and Judo),
which may include mixed year groups attending
(necessary to maintain our provision and wraparound
care). In these cases, social distancing will be
maintained, no shared equipment allowed. Club
leaders will be required to confirm that they
understand the guidelines during the first week of
term, with an optional visit/discussion with a member
of JSSLT offered (no clubs begin this year until the
second week). JSSLT rota during first fortnight, visiting
clubs to ensure compliance. For mixed year group
clubs, the largest classrooms will be used, or the hall,
to increase the ability to socially distance. Strict hand
