The target is that testbeds play an important role in the innovation process and are fully used by:
New users at testbeds
Existing users use it more
End users are involved
Knowledge about testbeds is widely accepted
There are established terms for use of testbeds
Tesbeds have sustainable financing
Test bed strategy for increased usage
The Strategy:
1. Project to develop a common syncronised offer
2. Initiate pilot projects to support the introduction of a syncronised offer
3. Establish a Testbed Forum together with Vinnova and other involved parties for future testbeds

Collect best practice from within RISE (or other) T&D-facilities in order to learn from that in a continuing learning process.

Together with RISE Business-and-Innovation Managers have a close, fruitful and continues dialog with companies for a strategic long term plan.

Companies has their own T&D-facility (- 1990’s):
unused capacity
High investments and personal costs
Due to product secrecy and other related risks, many are closed for others to use.
Cross sectorial industries and actors understands the need of shared T&D-environments/testbeds for addressing key challenges or accelerate innovations that also provides new businesses, cooperation and markets (from “today” – 2030+):
EU is in the starting blocks
Need for many competences within one T&D-facility or its organization
Can be closer to the market why also the final product/service will be closer to the market (tex Living Labs)
Increased understanding of the benefits of sharing resources and not only focus on risks (from 1990’s – “today”):

Before RISE was ONE institute (in its present organization form), a T&D-project was initiated
Goal: in two phases, propose a set-up for RISE where:
the full potential in each and every T&D-site in all RISE institutes, could contribute to a better, ”combined”, addition to the Swedish Innovation system, and
Internally RISE support with activities that further improves RISE T&D-activities
