Some Realtors opted to go beyond the basic salesperson’s license and take advanced education and training to obtain their broker license. Less than 5% of all Realtors nationwide have the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist Designation. Maximum standards of experience and education are required to obtain this designation. The Accredited Buyer Representative designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council of the National Association of REALTORS who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.

Not all real estate agent are Realtors. Realtors are due paying members of the National, State and Local Board of Realtors. They are subject to a Standard of Practice and a Code of Ethics. Only Realtors may hold the designation outlined below. You can be sure when you use a Realtor, you are dealing with a person of integrity. Look for the R logo on their business card.
