Lombok is home to many natural attractions, including the world famous

volcano trekking Mount Rinjani, located on the north of the island.

Gili Island Overview:

Lombok and Gili Islands are perfect for travelers searching for peace,

tranquility and relaxation: guests spend their time under the warm sun

next to the beach, relaxing by the pool or snorkeling in the peaceful

ocean in front of the hotel where numerous fish inhabit the corals of the

Indian Sea.

Three small islands, surrounded by coral, The Gilis, off Lombok's west

coast, are fast becoming one of her main draw cards. Dive centres with

all the high tech equipment and professional instructors ensure that

visiting divers at all levels of experience and ability can dive in waters

that have more varieties of fish than anywhere in the world - and that

Gili Trawangan:

Now appears to head the list as the most popular island - it has long had

a reputation as the party' island mainly through a concentrated and

central foreshore area of restaurants, dive operations and hotels

including some luxury boutique choices.

Gili Meno:

Still the quietest island is a place to escape to and although it has a

smaller list of accommodation options those that it has are tending

towards a more up-market clientele. Snorkeling off beaches of pure

white sand the coral is superb.

Gili Air:

Has the largest local population and while it has more of a lived-in

feeling than the other two islands for some that is quite possibly its

attraction. On Gili Air it's possible to likewise enjoy the marine

possibilities but also one can absorb some of the local culture missing on

the other islands. In addition to the Gilis there are many other dive and

snorkel possibilities such as an area now being prompted on the rugged

south coast where the experienced can now dive among hammerheads

and rays.

Trekking Itinerary

Day 1: LOMBOK AIRPORT - SENGGIGI HOTEL

Check in at Senggigi Hotel that we already arranged, rest and Free at

your own leisure.

Meals: None - Personal account

Accommodation: Maskot Hotel (non Star)

Day 2: SENGGIGI TO KUTA LOMBOK HOTEL

After breakfast at hotel in Senggigi we take a drive to Kuta in the South.

On the way we stop at Narmada Temple built in 1805. We then proceed

to Banyumulek, a pottery village and Sukarare a traditional weaving

village. A Little further south we stop at Sade a traditional Sasak village

and Finally arriving In Kuta late afternoon. Check into hotel in Kuta and

free for rest of the day to explore Kuta Lombok. Dinner personal

account(we will help to show where to eat).

Day 3: KUTA LOMBOK - TETEBATU - SAPIT VILLAGE

After breakfast in hotel check out for drive to Tetebatu. On the way

Stopping at Kotaraja a market town, Loyok noted for its Basketry,

Masbagik a Large town and Pringgasela centre for weaving. Arrive in

Tetebatu lunch time and then explore the villages in Tetebatu. Then

heading to Sapit, On the way stop by at Taman Wisata Monkey Forest.

Arrive Sapit by afternoon and check into guest house. Evening free and

easy, cool weather 18 Degree C. Dinner personal account.

Day 4: SAPIT VILLAGES AND SIGHTSEEING SURROUNDING

HATI SUCI and BALE LANGGA GUEST HOUSE

After Breakfast, we take a walk surrounding Rinjani valley view plus

green rice terraces, best time to take a photograph. It will take us a few

hours (by lunch time, we already back to Hati suci). Resting. Afternoon

we take a walk to Sapit Village and involved with local peoples while

we are enjoying spectacular Sumbawa island view from Sapit Village.

Because we are 750 Masl. Do not miss it. In the morning, you may see

clearly Rinjani Mountain from Hatisuci. Dinner personal account.

Day 5: SAPIT VILLAGE - SEMBALUN VILLAGE - MOUNT

RINJANI TREKKING TO RIM

Breakfast then transfer to Sembalun. Register the Rinjani Information

Center (RIC) in Sembalun Lawang (1,156 m), meet your guide and

arrange National Park entry tickets. Your guide gives you briefing

describes the route details, local cultural traditions and what you might

see, and explains rubbish management and safety procedures. The trek

starts from Sembalun Lawang with the gentle ascent walking through

open grassland used as cattle grazing by local people. Resting at Pos 1

Pemantauan (1,300), after about three hours from Sembalun we reach

Pos 2 Tengengean (1,500 m), enjoying the beautiful views of Mt.

Rinjani summit (3,726 m). After another hours ascent to Pos 3 Pada

Balong (1,800 m), we start the step 3,5 climb amidst the pine-like

Casuarinas species locally known as Cemara, perhaps seeing evidence of

wild pigs and the long-tailed grey macaque monkeys to the camp site at

Plawangan II Sembalun crater rim (2,639 m).

Day 6: RIM RINJANI - SUMMIT TREKKING - CRATER LAKE

At03:00 AM starts is necessary for the hard three-hours climb to the

summit (3,726 m) on volcanic screen. Once there, enjoy proud feelings

of satisfaction and the amazing sunrise views across the Wallace Line to

Bali, Mt. Agung and Sumbawa, after enjoying the spectacular views

down to the campsite. Return down the ridge passing numerous

edelweiss plants Bunga Abadi to the crater rim camp for a well-deserved

breakfast. After breakfast, proceed to go down to the lake, Enjoy the

lake, swimming or exploring the caves and pilgrimage hot springs,

believed to have healing powers, while our porters preparing for your

unch. Lunch and enjoy the view surrounding the lake. Stay and Dinner

on Camping tent.

Day 7: CRATER LAKE - SENARU RIM

After breakfast, leave the lake and climb for two and half hours up to

Plawangan 1 senaru Crater Rim (2,461 m) for the day 2’s camp. Dinner

and overnight at crater rim if weather permitted or another hour down to

Cemara Lima.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 8: SENARU RIM - SENARU VILLAGE - GUEST HOUSE

After Breakfast descend down the long trail to Senaru village (601 m),

through thick tropical forests rich in flora, bird life and a variety of

butterflies. You might see orchid and, if lucky, the rare black ebony leaf

monkey, known locally as lutung. Rest stop are taken along the way,

with village stories and local legends related by your guide. Features

include the Batu Penyesalan stone and banyan tree bunut ngengkang that

looks like someone standing with their legs apart. After seven hours

walk from the rim, (or five hours from Pos 3 Mondokon Lolak), the trek

ends at Rinjani Trek Center at the road head in Senaru village, check at

simple accommodation, free at your own leisure. Dinner personal

Day 9: SENARU VILLAGE

Wake up anytime you like, breakfast and free and easy to view the

Mount Rinjani (after the trek, normally you will have numb leg/knee in

the morning). Its good day to have an relaxing day on the fresh weather.

Day 10: SENARU - VILLAGE - SUMBAWA ISLAND

OVERLAND – PANCASILA VILLAGE (the gate of Tambora

Trek)

Early Morning at 6 o'clock, we drive to east of Lombok" Labuan

Lombok harbor" then cross by Ferry to Sumbawa island " Poto Tano

harbor". arrive in Poto Tano then continue drive to Sumbawa Besar city,

stop over for lunch. After lunch then continue drive to Pancasila village"

in the bottom of Tambora mountain". 7pm arrive in pancasila village

then overnight in simple guest house.

Day 11: TAMBORA TREKKING

Breakfast, prepare the food and meet the porter then we start trek to up

to post II ( 1900m above sea level ), we will arrive at Post II around

05.00 pm for overnight.

Day 12: TAMBORA SUMMIT - SUMBAWA ISLAND HOTEL

After have a light breakfast at 04.00 am, than at 05.00 we go up to the

Top of Mount Tambora (2850m a.s.l). After take a picture than we go

down to Pancasila village to have Lunch. Drive to Sumbawa besar, then

Overnight in Sumbawa city. Dinner personal account.

Day 13: SUMBAWA ISLAND HOTEL – SENGGIGI HOTEL

After Breakfast make city tour, visiting Dalam Loka Palace, yellow

house (the private museum of the king Sumbawa ) then head to Poto

Tano harbor for Lombok island. Arrived Senggigi in the afternoon.

Day 14: SENGGIGI HOTEL – GILI ISLAND FULL DAY

Breakfast, check out guest house then by boat cruise to Gili Trawangan

Day 15: GILI ISLAND
