Europe thrashed the United States 17½-10½ to regain the Ryder Cup -prompting wild celebrations at Le Golf National in France. The Italian, who was immediately drenched in beer by celebrating fans, said it "means more than winning majors". Spaniard Sergio Garcia secured a victory of his own to surpass Sir Nick Faldo as the Ryder Cup's leading points scorer with 25½, then sobbed as he was called a "legend" by team-mate Justin Rose. "I don't usually cry, but I couldn't help it, what a week," he said. "It's been a rough year, but we fought hard. I'm so thankful to Thomas Bjorn for believing in me. "Tommy Fleetwood and Rory McIlroy led 'thunder clap' cheers with an exuberant 70,000-strong crowd, while captain Thomas Bjorn embraced each of his "amazing" players. "Some people say golf is boring - well, this is certainly not boring," said Bjorn. "I've experienced a lot of Ryder Cups, but this is the top one."

New dwarf planet called The GoblinScientists have discovered a dwarf planet named The Goblin, which is in the outermost reaches of space. The orbit of the dwarf planet - officially called 2015 TG387 - seems to be influenced by the gravity of a much bigger object. Astronomers using an eight-meter telescope in Hawaii, USA, found the new dwarf planet beyond Neptune. It's taken three years carefully studying the data to confirm that the object, known as The Goblin, is a dwarf world probably about 300 kilometers wide.

Temperatures to be higher than normal for the last 3 months

The met office has announced that the weather and temperatures in the UK and Northern Ireland are going to be higher than normal for the last few months of the year. They have said that the change in temperatures is due to global warming and this is not only influencing us, it is affecting our entire planet as we know it!

Wellington newsBlack History Month AssemblyYesterday, Diamond Class performed their assembly about Black History Month. They included lots of information and taught us many new things about segregation, since when Black History Month was celebrated, who helped abolish abuse towards black people, like Rosa Parks and Nelson Mandela. They had some excellent role play to show what it used to be like. Diamond Class knew their lines off by heart and knew when to speak and where to go. They even sang an amazing song about rights.

Year 4 trip to GurdwaraOn Wednesday, Year 4 visited the local Gurdwara to learn more about the traditions and myths. This was the 1st year 4 trip. Arush, from Amber said:" I enjoyed my day there and I learnt so many new things I had not known. Also the building itself was so beautiful. If I could I would visit again." It is good to hear that they were enjoying the day. They learnt about historical stories. Throughout the day, they took part in a wide range of activities in their groups with the teachers. Hopefully, they were bursting with knowledge.
