Richard John Reliford is an Actor, Creator, Producer and Host. He was born in

Chicago, IL and raised in the southwestern suburb, Bolingbrook, IL. He is one of 12

children in his family (7 sisters and 4 brothers). Richard has always been a scholar

and entertainer. He received a full, football scholarship to the University of Akron

where he received his Mechanical Polymer Engineering degree and was Freshman

of the year, Academic All-MAC, team captain, 4 year letter-man, member off NCAA

SAAC, National Football Foundation honoree and NFL prospect.

He had his first experience acting in 2000 while performing a short skit with the

legendary Bill Cosby at the EJ Thomas Performance Arts Hall in Akron, OH. After

graduating college and realizing that football wasn’t going to be his career path,

Richard decided to pursue acting full time in Chicago.

After relocating to Los Angeles with his wife and three children, Richard’s career

began to blossom. Richard has a versatile resume including movies, television

shows, national commercials and plays. He is best known for his recurring role on

the soap opera, General Hospital, a guest appearance in the ABC comedy, Happy

Endings and his latest starring role in the movie, Frat Brothers.

The actor started the organization, “Keeping it R.E.Y.A.L” (Reaching and

Encouraging Young Adult Lives), where he provides life coaching, speaking, and

hosting services. His goal is to touch lives and spread love through his acting and

other endeavors. Richard continues to live by what he calls the 4E’s: E’nfluence,

Encourage, Entertain and Enjoy!

Indie movie makes television debut starring Los Angeles based actor.

Los Angeles, California – May 12, 2014 – The movie “Frat Brothers,” starring Richard John Reliford,

Mishon Ratliff, Romeo Miller, Darrin Dewitt Henson, Ashley A. Williams and Denyce Lawton will premi-

ere on television for the first time on BET. Viewers can tune in on May 22nd at 9:30pm PST and May 23rd

at 3:30pm PST.

“To say I'm excited about our movie, Frat Brothers airing on TV and specifically BET is an understate-

ment. There are so many reasons, but the main ones are my fans, which a large portion of them are already

regular BET viewers. I'm proud of the movie, my performance, the message and last but not least my fra-

ternal roots. It was awesome working with the entire cast especially my “Gamma” brothers Romeo Miller

and Darrin Henson,” said Richard.

The actor is no stranger to television. He currently has a national commercial airing for American Family

Insurance. Richard has also appeared on several episodes of General Hospital and Happy Endings on ABC.

Actor Richard John Reliford to Host NYE Party at Dragonfly Restaurant in Chicago

Chicago native actor will bring in the New Year in hometown.

Los Angeles, California – December 26, 2013 – Actor, Richard John Reliford will host a New Year’s

Eve party in his hometown Chicago. The party will be held at Dragonfly Restaurant, 832 W. Ran-

dolph, Chicago, IL 60607 from 9pm-2am. The event will feature a hosted bar, buffet, confetti explo-

sion, champagne toast and multiple DJs.

Excited about the opportunity, Richard said, “I’m coming back home to celebrate some of my past

Actor Richard John Reliford to Participate with “Engage the Vision” Holiday Giveaway

Actor will help mentoring group pass out gifts to elementary school students.

Los Angeles, California – December 19, 2013 – Actor, Richard John Reliford will assist “Engage the

Vision” Mentoring group with handing out gifts to students at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary

School on December 20, 2013. This will also serve as the last mentoring session to the 25 young boys

that the organization serves. Fellow actor, Tommy “Tiny” Lister and others will also be involved.

“Events and programs like this are key and highlight exactly why I have spent 10 plus years of my

life invested in the youth through a combination of coaching, mentoring, youth leadership, public

speaking and teaching. These young men will act and make decisions based on the images and op-

tions put before them and it's our responsibility to bring positive, successful and especially minority

men before them,” said Richard.

Engage the Vision Mentoring is a group of men from all facets of the entertainment industry,

and other disciplines as well, who come together every Friday at Martin Luther King Elemen-

tary School to mentor their 4th and 5th grade boys for one hour. The organization has been
