El FAD de Barcelona organiza desde 2008 el City to City Barcelo-na FAD Award, un premio dedicado a reconocer proyectos urba-nos en ciudades alrededor del mundo que hayan tenido un impac-to positivo en la vida cotidiana de sus habitantes.

Para presentar la edición 2016, han preparado una exposición retrospectiva que supone un gran cambio con respecto a edicio-nes anteriores y que se extiende desde el museo a la calle y tam-bién al ámbito digital.

El vídeo pretende ser una breve presentación del pasado, pre-sente y futuro del proyecto, y estará incluido en la web del premio.

The pages of the famous novel by Leo Tolstoy dance to the rhythm of the solemn music by Dario Marianelli, until they lie down and fall gently to the ground. One of them, the purest one, turns into a butterfly, a metaphor for the life of Anna Karenina, who has struggled her all life for a few moments of happiness.

This project, my thesis, consisted in designing a hybrid halfway between book and ebook. The final output is the result of a deep research that compares these two worlds, studying the qualities, pros and cons, that distinguish them. The study highlighted the characteristics of each of the two sup-ports: on one hand the electronic book has the merit of being practical, they can potentially store an infinite library, on the other hand, the traditional book has emotional qualities hardly revo-cable digitally. In order to find a meeting point between the two supports I looked for a technology able to bring virtual reality in daily life. I found the keystone of my research in the Augmented Reality. "[Augmented] Italian Desing", is a product that aims to work in synergy between paper and digital worlds.

The best in European entertainment marketing and design are gathered in Barcelona for PromaxBDA Europe 2016, the indu-stry’s essential annual event.

Barcelona-based agency Cómodo Screen welcomed the attende-es to their hometown with this playful opening video full of bold colors and imagery that celebrates the creative process.

Cómodo Screen, which is the conference’s o�cial design partner, is no stranger to this space. Their work has been featured as a Daily Brief Hot Spot numerous times over the past few years.

Brief: Crear un relato canónico a partir del estudio de dos refe-rentes facilitados ( el cineasta francés Jacques Demy y la artista visual alemana Rebecca Horn) siguiendo la estructura creada por Joseph Campbell en 1949 en su libro El Héroe de las mil caras.

El relato creado cuenta las aventuras de Iris al hacerse cargo de la tienda familiar La Plumerie. Su incapacidad para ver los colores y la reciente llegada de com-petencia al pueblo de Nantes, serán algunos de los obstaculos que tendrá que superar. El apoyo recibido durante estas aventu-ras le ayudarán a seguir adelante, pero desafortunadamente no todo acaba como en los cuentos de hadas.

La técnica seleccionada para representar este relato visual ha sido el collage con infografía. El collage consiste en combinar imágenes de diferentes fuentes y estilos para crear nuevas solu-ciones sorprendentes. La infografía nos permite comunicar una realidad, a veces dura, de una forma más agradable.

Las obras de los artistas referenciados transmiten una gran bel-leza y delicadeza visual, escondiendo así el trasfondo melan-cólico y duro de la realidad que quieren contar.
