Elementary Schools Castle – 2nd Grade Music Program, Thursday, December 12 at 6:00 pm and 3rd Grade Music Program at 7:00 pm Eagle Point – 4th Grade and Choir Concert, Thursday, December 12 at 6:30 pm Richardson – 1st and 4th Grade Winter Concert, Thursday, December 12 at 6:30 pm Skyview Elementary – 5th Grade Choir Concert, Thursday, December 12 at 6:30 pm Weaver – Holiday Choir Concert, Tuesday, December 17 at 7:00 pm Middle Schools John Glenn – 7th/8th Grade Winter Choir Concert, December 9 at 6:30 pm at North High Maplewood – Choir Concert, Tuesday, December 10 at 6:30 pm at North High Skyview Middle – Choir Concert, Thursday, December 19 at Tartan: 6th Grade at 6:15 pm and 7th and 8th Grades at 7:30 pm High Schools North – Winter Choir Concert, Thursday, December 12 at 7:00 pm Tartan – Choir Concert, Monday, December 16 at 7:00 pm SPARC (Schools, Parents, & Resources Connecting) meets January 6 SPARC meets on Monday, January 6 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at the District Education Center, 2520 East 12th Avenue, North St. Paul. In January, the group will hear from Tricia Sedlacek from In Tune Connections, addressing the topic of “The Five Essential Elements for Positive Parenting”. Tricia will speak from 6:30 - 8:00, and will then take questions from audience members from 8:00 - 8:30. These sessions are free and open to all parents, caregivers and community members. No pre-registration is necessary for the workshop. Free childcare is available, but you must pre-register by contacting Diane Peterson at [email protected] or 651-702-8409. Alumni News 1990 Tartan graduate appointed Medina's Public Safety Director Points of Pride Aloun Phoulavan, teacher at Harmony Learning Center, received the Outstanding Educator Award from the Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District! Since 1997, he has worked to engage youth in watershed education and stewardship initiatives.

Students at Skyview Elementary held a coin drive to raise money to buy books to keep at their school or donate. After tallying the money, they chose to donate over $2,000 in books to the preschool classrooms at Beaver Lake. What a wonderful spirit of giving!

Congratulations to senior Shaliciah Jones (North High) on signing a National Letter of Intent! She made the decision to continue her education and track & field career at North Carolina A&T State University.

Through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, North students spent two weeks with a dancer and choreographer learning how to tap dance! The process was capped off with a very cool experience in creativity and music making!

North Gymnastics and Tartan Gymnastics held their first meet of the season at North this week. The final scores were 103.5 (North) and 119.4 (Tartan).

Recently, a DIY Jazz Clinic was held at North High. Twenty five students worked with local professionals to discover their jazz voice. The group even capped it off with an awesome performance!

The North St. Paul Dance Team placed 4th with their kick routine at Simley High School.

Congratulations to Tartan senior Lydia Ato, a 2020 Donaldson STEM Award Winner! Lydia will receive $500.00, a one-year membership to the Science Museum of Minnesota, and the opportunity to spend time with a scientist from Donaldson Filtration Solutions.

Former student Jarvis Omersa, now a second year student at the University of Minnesota and Gopher’s basketball player, visited Cowern students during an assembly. Jarvis is one of the students in the Peace mural on the wall outside of the gym. Students asked Jarvis questions and he shared memories of Cowern and the mural and what an important role academics have played along with a ‘never give up’ attitude.

Recently, Skyview Adventure Connection students enjoyed the winter weather and made a snow friend!

District 622 students participated in COMET at the Science Museum of Minnesota.

On November 21, students and staff from Richardson honored Veterans with a wonderful concert.

Students, parents, and staff had a great time during Webster’s STEM Night!

Free 2-day Baseball Camp for Kids Elementary and middle school students will learn to play baseball from Polar Baseball staff and players!
