• Expand Coffee Fellowship area by relocating the rear wall of the sanctuary

• Improve traffic flow• Improve natural and artificial lighting• Provide visibility into the sanctuary• Update finishes and flooring

sanctuary and other areas• Consider improvements to the chancel

Restroom Updates

• Update fixtures, furnishings, surfaces, and flooring to modern standards in both northern and western restrooms

• Add handicap stalls in northern restrooms• Add handicap stalls in northern restrooms• Current restroom capacity seems to be

adequate for the next 5+ years – expansion is not seen as a priority at this time

• Expansion of the northern restrooms would require expensive HVAC work and eliminate the janitorial closet – not a good trade-off

• Everyone agrees that the Narthex expansion is the most important improvement

BUT• Restroom updates do not require engineering or

architect’s plans• Restroom updates do not require engineering or

allowing us to start this work sooner• We can get the engineering and plan work for

Phase 2 done while the restrooms are in work• We can be raising funds for Phase 2 while Phase 1

is being completed

This are rough estimates based on many assumptions. Bids will provide the final estimates.

• We will not have reasonable cost estimates for Phase 2 until the engineering and plans are complete

So what do we need to do?

• Start raising the money

• In a few months we’ll also need a few volunteers for a Focus Group to make decisions on decor preferences for the narthex

Fund Raising Campaign

• We will have a single Fund Raising Campaign for both project Phases – Today is the Kick-off

• We encourage you to Pledge a total amount to be donated during 2019 – Pledging will help us estimate donated during 2019 – Pledging will help us estimate donations we can expect by year end

• As the donations received reach the amount needed to fund a sub-phase, work will begin on that sub-phase

• Campaign Pledge Day will be May 19th in worship
