The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) connects New YorkCity’s youth ages 14-24 with education and employmentexperiences. For six weeks each summer, participants explore theircareer and educational interests, gain foundational workforceskills, engage in civics, give back to their communities and enhancetheir school day learning. The Work Readiness curriculum willprepare youth for these summer experiences and long-termsuccess.

LeadOrganizationandSubcontracting
There is a 30% Minority Women OwnedBusiness Enterprise (MWBE) ParticipationGoal. All proposers must comply withSchedule B, attachment N of the RFP andPayee Information Portal reportingrequirements.
No more than 50% of the total budget may be subcontracted
Components may be provided by the leadproposing organization or throughsubcontracts that will be overseen by thelead proposer.
All subcontractor payments must bereported using the Payee Information Portal(PIP) at www.nyc.gov/pip

ResponsibilityDetermination
Please be advised that it is a requirement for allprospective contractors to be determined responsiblein the Post Award phase. Therefore, please make sureyour Charities’ filings are current and ensure that anyoutstanding liens or adverse information has beenresolved. Unresolved issues often cause significantdelays in the post award process.

NYC InsuranceRequirements Commercial General Liability Insurance: $1 million per
occurrence and $2 million aggregate
Motor Vehicle Liability (if applicable) -- $1 million per accident combined single limit
Workers’ Compensation, Disability Benefits Insurance, andEmployer’s Liability
DYCD will not be able to proceed with processing an awardedcontract until it has obtained acceptable proof of thenecessary insurance coverage.
DYCD reserves the right to notify contractors of additionalinsurance requirements at the time of contract award.
Data Breach and Privacy Cyber Liability Insurance:$10,000,000 per claim and $20,000,000 aggregate
Technology Errors and Omissions Insurance: $10,000,000 peroccurrence and $20,000,000 aggregate
