Installing Autodesk Revit 2020 on WindowsThe files for installing Autodesk software are available at: http://www.autodesk.com
Downloading Revit via Autodesk Education Community
Before you beginThe following instruction is supported by the TU Delft and has been tested to be working. However, we offer this manual to you as an extra service. In the event you have problems connecting, we advise you to contact your nearest Service Desk, Student IT Desk (SID) or Workstation services (WPS).
Prerequisites• You need an Autodesk account to sign up and you need to use your TU (student) email address.• We recommend you using Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Edge to download Revit 2020.• Time. Sometimes you need to wait a maximum of 48 hours before you get access to Revit from Autodesk.
Step 1. Go to the Autodesk Education website at www.autodesk.com/education/free-software and sign in with your Autodesk Educational account .
Step 2. In the login window, enter your Autodesk Educational credentials. If you DON’T HAVE AN AUTODESK ACCOUNT you should sign up first.
Step 3. (optional) If you CREATE AN ACCOUNT, fill in the information asked. For your institution, type Technische Universiteit Delft.
Step 5. (optional, not always) Sometimes Autodesk asks for additional information to verify that you are a student of TU Delft. Add a document as described. You will get an email in your TU Delft student mailaddress when verified.
Step 6. SELECT REVIT 2020. DO NOT CLICK on INSTALL! Instead, click on the white arrow icon next to it and choose DONWLOAD.
Step 4. (optional) If you are creating your Autodesk account, click on GET STARTED.

Step 7. In some cases, your browser only downloads ONE FILE and blocks the five other ones. Open your pop-up menu and click on all links. DO NOT EXECUTE THEM YET!
Step 8. Click on INSTALL. Step 9. Your laptop will now start the setup initialization of Revit.
Step 10. Click on I ACCEPT AND NEXT.
Step 9. When all files are downloaded, EXECUTE ONE OF THEM and select a destination folder.
Step 11. Click the small arrow below Autodesk Revit Content Libraries 2020 to choose the libraries to install.

Step 15. Click on SIGN IN WITH YOUR AUTODESK ID. This makes sure you have a legal licence for Revit.
Step 16. SIGN IN with you Autodesk account. Revit 2020 should now be working properly.
Step 12. Make sure the following content is selected: Under ‘English’ US Metric (deselect US Imperial), scroll down to ‘Other English’ and select Netherlands
(Set Other English - Netherlands as Default Content.)
Step 13. Click the small arrow to close the drop-down menu and return to the product list.
Click Install.
Step 14. Verify that all components have been installed successfully. Click LAUNCH NOW.
