A student often failed in the exam. He always blame the teacher as a factor of failure. The reason of the failure is due to his laziness in studying and no enthusiasm.

1. Rational Emotive Therapy Approach Behavior (REBT) by Albert Ellis emphasizes the influence of emotional thought processes and behavior. During counseling sessions, counseling teachers have always faced student who likes to blame a friend and teacher, and is not ready to take responsibility for his behavior.

Discuss actions that can be taken and the implications when teachers use REBT approach to help students deal with emotional problems.

2. Tan Ah Seng is 10 years old and the only child in the family. He is categorized as a rather brilliant student and often represent the school in various competitions. But he did not have a good relationship with his classmates. This is because he has a habit of lying. This has make his classmates shun, hate and exclude him. Various theories in counseling approach are suitable and effective used in schools for pupils with problematic behavior.These theories emphasize changes in behavior, affective, emotional and human thought.
