Revised syllabi (2019 Pattern) for three years BBA (IB) degree course (CBCS)The degree shall be titled as Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) (International Business)
under the Faculty of Commerce Part I w.e.f. the academic year 2019-2020, B.B.A. (IB) Part IIw.e.f. 2020-2021 and B.B.A. (IB) Part III w.e.f. 2021-2022.
1. Preamble and objective of the courseThe process of globalization has changed perception and understanding regarding business and global economy. Globalization has encompassedevery facet of life and has now reached every person. Naturally the influence and impact of globalization is realized in various ways.
Incorporation of right understanding about global business and international trade has become an essential aspect of modern business education.A clear and complete understanding as to how global business functions and what are the implications of different business and economicdecisions has become an essential aspects of study. Business education plays a great role in improving understanding and knowledge aboutconcepts, functions and implications of international trade. Considering this, a specialized program in international business has a great utilityand relevance. This program shall provide right understanding about scope, mode of functioning and process of decision making in internationalscenario. It shall also help to acquire necessary skills and insights to analyze various international events and business decisions.
This program aims at giving right understanding about the scope and coverage of various business activities and how the process ofinternational business influences domestic economy. This program shall be a first step to develop and prepare competent commerce graduateswho can work as business managers, entrepreneurs and even consultants to various domestic and international firms.
Objectives:
The principal objectives of the program can be stated as follows:-
1. To provide aright understanding about the present scenario of and international trade and relationship of domestic trade with internationaltrade.
2. To explain modalities, functions and activities related with various aspects of international trade.3. To provide knowledge and understanding as to how business decisions are taken while conducting international trade transactions.4. To give knowledge about institutional and regulatory framework governing international trade
5. To inculcate skills useful to analyze various international business situations.
2. Eligibility: A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Degree course in Bachelor of Business Administration - International business
shall have passed 12 the Std. Examination (H.S.C. 10 +2) from any stream with English as passing subject and has secured 40%marks at 12thstd.
Three Years Diploma Course after S.S.C. i.e. 10th
Standard of Board of Technical Education conducted by Government ofMaharashtra or its equivalent.
Two Years Diploma in Pharmacy after H.S.C., of Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or itsequivalent.

3. Rules of A.T.K.T. A student shall be allowed to keep term for the Second Year, if he/she has a backlog of not more than four theory heads of total number
of subjects of the First Year examination, which consist of First & Second Semester.
A student shall be allowed to keep term for the Third Year, if he/she has no backlog of First year & if he/she has a backlog of not morethan four theory heads of total number of subjects of the Second year examination, which consist of Third & Fourth Semester.
The Course shall be a full time course and the duration of the course shall be of three years divided into six Semesters.
4. Specialization Subjects – The student has to select one specialization subject in the Third semester and student will study four papers
5. Foreign language – Student shall select one foreign language for the semester III and IV
6 .Medium of instructions - Medium of instruction shall be in English only.
7. Workload - Contact Clock Hours per paper (2700 Minutes) – 48 lectures + 6 lectures for continues evaluation
8. Instructions for teachers for internal evaluation – for 30 MarksThe teachers are expected to follow the guidelines given by SPPU. The purpose of internal evaluation is to assess the depth of knowledge,understanding and awareness for this purpose a teacher is expected to use different evaluation methods for the purpose of rational and subjectiveassessment of the learners the teachers are free to take the their discretion on the availability of students strengths , internet resources etc.
There will be written Examination of 70 marks and 3 hrs duration for every course at the end of each Semester. The class work will carry 30 marks ineach course. Class work includes continues evaluation of a student Assignments, Presentation, Internal examination, Group discussions etc.
For Course - in Business Exposure and cases (Semester V) there will be viva voce examination of 50 marks and written Report on Industrial visits ,interviews of successful industry/Business experts ,case studies, presentations on learning outcome etc. Visits and interviews shall be arranged underthe supervision of the subject teacher. 50 marks at college level -50 marks assessment will be conducted at SPPU VivaFor course on Project work (Semester VI) there will be oral presentation test consisting of 20 marks and Written Report of 30 marks at university levelStudent shall complete a computer course relevant to specialization subject -The Fees / Expenses towards computer course will be borne by thestudents. Appropriate allocation of project work (Internship / Hands on experience is essential) shall be arranged by the students under the guidance ofthe teacher and all the expenses will be borne by the students.

11. Restructuring of courses –Equivalence and Transitory Provision
The University will conduct examination of old course for next three academic years from the date of implementation of new course.
The candidate of old course will be given three chances to clear his subjects as per the old course and thereafter he will have to appear for thesubjects under new course as per the equivalence given to old course.
12. Classification of Successful Candidates – note as per B. com Syllabus (commerce)
13. Setting of Question Papers1. A candidate shall have to answer the questions in all the subjects in English only.
2. The question papers shall be framed so as to ensure that no part of the syllabus is left out of study by a student.
3. The question paper shall be balanced in respect of various topics outlined in the syllabus.
4. The question papers shall have a combination of long , short answer and MCQ type questions.

15 Structure of transcript (As it is)
16. Distribution of LecturesFor one credit means fifteen clock hours are allotted and therefore for each subject 48 learning hours are allotted and 6 hours forcontinues evaluation. Similarly value added course are suggested for each year, the value added course shall be of 30 hours per semesteror of 60 hours for 4 credit per year.
