Reviews of Latisse: The Truth Revealed
Latisse reviews can now be found online and patients simply love it! Latisse is an eyelash grower that is
being sold in the market ever since it has been approved by FDA in December of year 2008. How is this
product used? Is this really safe for the eyes? Will it be an effective eyelash growth booster?
Actually, Latisse is the version of the glaucoma drug found in the eyedrop form known as bimatoprost
which has been used since it was approved in 2001 by the FDA. During those times, eye doctors as well
as the patients of glaucoma noticed the side effect of hair growth, with lusher and longer eyelash
noticeable after some time.
Celebrities like Mandy Moore and Jenny McCarthy have been reported to use Latisse while its
spokespeople for advertising have included Claire Danes and Brooke Shields. Mad Men’s star, Christina
Hendricks, have also signed for promoting Latisse in connecting with the campaign for charity
fundraising known as Latisse Wishes Challenge.
But are these things enough to convince you into using this product?
Based on some studies, Latisse can lengthen, thicken and darken the lashes through a process which is
still not fully understood. Similar with the hair on top of your head, the lashes sprout, need some time to
grow, and will fall out eventually. Latisse works by extending the lashes’ growth phase and increasing
the count of sprouting hairs.
Latisse is being applied through dabbing the formula on your upper eyelash line every night using the
supplied sterile applicators. Once you blinked, the drug will spread automatically to your lower eyelash
line. Based on the claims of manufacturer, it must never be applied on the lower lid or your eye. Prior to
applying the product, make sure that your face is devoid of any eye makeup and the contact lenses have
already been removed. After every use, the applicator must already be discarded since using it the
second time around might already cause some grave issues like allergic reaction or eye infection. This
should also be applied carefully since the product might even promote some unnecessary hair growth
on some skin areas.
After using Latisse for two straight months every night, you can certainly notice some results. After 3 or
4 months, your physician might already recommend a schedule for treatment after every two days. In
case you ceased using Latisse, the eyelashes might just gradually go back to their original state.
