Zhao Section2020.12.04
• Exam Time: December 8, 2020, Tuesday, 8-10PM (EST). Let me know ASAP if you need to be switched to morning session. • Format: Please use this link (group 1) to sign in. Please join the zoom meeting by 7:45PM (EST). You must use your full
name (Last, First) as your Zoom name. I ask everyone to turn on your camera and adjust the angle so your hands are visible throughout the exam. If you have a temporary internet issue or are dropped from connection, please immediately text or call me by 617-999-7207.
• Equation Sheet: The equation sheet has been posted on the course blog. It will be available to you during the exam.• Exam Paper (PDF): The exam will be available to you in PDF format on Gradescope at 7:55PM. The exam will contain four
problems. Problems 1-3 will be full-length single problems, and problem 4 will be conceptual and containing multiple parts. • Exam Materials: This is a closed book examination, you are permitted to have your exam, writing materials (pen, pencil,
eraser), straight edge, and exam calculator. The only two approved exam calculators are the TI-30Xa and the TI-30 XIIS.• Exam Coverage: Final exam will be comprehensive. Topics after exam 2 will be the major coverage.• Exam Requirements: You will need a computer to download the exam from Gradescope, a printer to print out the exam, and
some device (e.g., your cell phone) to scan the exam into a single PDF format to upload to Gradescope. If you do not have access to a printer, you are permitted to write the solutions on blank papers. You must clearly label the problems. You must arrange the papers in the correct order and assign appropriate pages to each problem during your submission.
• Exam Submission Window (30 Minutes): When you complete your exam, send a Zoom chat message to your proctor indicating that you have finished the exam and then you may use a phone or scanner to scan your solution and upload to Gradescope. Specifically, your solutions will be scanned and submitted to Gradescope on an assignment named "Exam 2". You are responsible for scanning your exam into a single PDF and uploading your exam into Gradescope immediately after completion of your exam. To accommodate the time needed to do this, the deadline to have your exam scanned and uploaded to Gradescope will be 10:30PM (ES).
• Assigning Pages for Your Exam: As part of the submission process, you must identify the page numbers for Problem 1, 2, ... separately. Two blank pages will be provided for each problem. If you need extra papers, please use your own but make sure to arrange the pages in the correct order in your submission. Do not assign the cover page to any of the problems. Do not submit or assign page number to the equation sheet.
• DRC Students: You will start the exam with everyone else. If you have extended time, you will be allowed to extend your exam time by the allotted percentage. After you finish the exam, please send your scanned work in a single PDF to me via [email protected]. I will upload your solution to Gradescope.
• Questions During Exam: If you have any questions during the exam, please send a message on Zoom to the host. The chat function with other participants is disabled. Clarifications made by the proctor during the exam will be made vocally and in the chat window.
• Practice Materials: Two practice materials with solutions have been posted on the course blog.• Academic Integrity
