STEP X• Stitch Machine Step 1, Cover Placement.

STEP X• Hoop 2 layers Light Weight TearAway.

STEP X• Cut out cork and fabric. • Fuse 1 piece of Fusible Woven to the back of each of the fabrics.

STEP X• Stitch Machine Step 2, Cover Tackdown.

STEP X• Cover with the cork, right side up. The cork should just barely cover

the placement stitch. • Tape or spray in place.

STEP X• Place the applique fabric right side up on the lower half of the

design.

INSTRUCTIONS



STEP X• Return the hoop to the machine. Stitch through the design,

stopping before the last color.

STEP X• Remove hoop from the machine, but do NOT remove the project

from the hoop.• Trim the cork about 1/8” inside the Cut Line. Be careful to only cut

the cork, not the fabric underneath.

STEP X• Stitch Machine Step 3 (and sometimes an additional color), Flower

Cutline.

STEP X• Note: Match up three sides of the flap with the lining fabric as shown.

STEP X• Next place the inside flap cork pieces on top of the lining fabric, right side up. • Tape in place.

STEP X• Remove hoop from the machine, but do NOT

remove the project from the hoop.• Turn the hoop over and place the inside lining

fabric right side up, over the back of the hoop. Make sure the placement stitch is covered. Tape or spray in place.

• Note: Use Expert Tape WashAway for easy removal with water.

BACK OF HOOP



STEP X• Remove hoop from machine and the embroidery from the hoop. • Trim the finished cover with rotary cutter to neaten up edges.• Slip the notebook inside the two flaps.

STEP X• Return the hoop to the machine. Make sure the lining and flaps remain taped

in place.• Stitch the final Machine Step, the Inside Lining and Sleeve Tackdown.
