Greetings from the Coordinator ofReligious Education: Kim Burr

We have been busy planting.

We have a “Bag of Potatoes” that the children planted. The bag should fill up with new potatoes for us. The Community Gardens at Nim’s Park are overflowing. Soon we should have Tomatoes, Peppers, and later Brussels sprouts. We as a Congregation have enjoyed the “greens” A Southern St. neighbor and some UU folks have also enjoyed the Vates.

We have enjoyed going outside and staying in. This Summer they have played Bingo, Candy Land, and outside fun.

Time for School Year to start soon!! ~ Ms. Burr

We are in need a childcare provider on Sundays. If you know of anyone 16 or

over, contact Ms. Burr

a proposal from the Green Sanctuary Team:

GREEN KITCHEN CONVENANT

We covenant together to operate our kitchen in the most environmentally-friendly way possible. Together we will work to:

· Recycle

· Use environmentally-friendly cleaning supplies

· Avoid all single-use plastic and paper

· Compost leftover vegetable matter

· Avoid purchasing items in single-use packaging

· Use fair trade products

We will gently remind one another of this covenant with the hope of helping all to become more environmentally-friendly in their practices.

We’re hoping to get feedback on whether this draft needs to be amended and thoughts about adopting it. Please give feedback to

[email protected] (Gwen Williams).
